B'ham City keep trying to sign big names. It's lazy. Look at all the money they wasted on Zigic.

Niall Quinn rejects Robbie Keane rumours

I have a funny feeling that when the dust from the January Window settles, Keane will end up going nowhere.
Nah. I think he's off again one way or the other.. There's alot of "Poker" going on.... He'll move on loan again at the very least.
It seems nobody wants him at the moment. West ham brought in Bridge on loan who is on 90 grand a week. Birmingham brought in Bentley who has to be on similiar money to Keane. Quinn's comments last night saying Sunderland need a Big guy sounds like ****** considering they sold Kenwyne Jones. Ideally I would like to see Everton sign him as I feel he might do well there with the way they play. They have a good manager (and they need a goalscorer).
Yes, but as of now clubs are looking at an outlay of a transfer fee of over 6m on top of Keanes wages... If I'm honest, I can see why the the types of clubs we're talking about wouldn't pay that for Robbie Keane at this stage in his career. I can see the fee coming down the closer we get to the window or possibly another loan at the very least..
would love to see him at Goodison but being that they have no cash, no big wages and Keane is a Liverpool fan, i cant see it happening.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Keane would have to accept a drop of around 20,000 a week if Everton were interested (Everton's ceiling is 45,000 a week at the moment and they will allegedly not break that for anyone). Mind it is worth a minimum of 40 million for any club to remain in the Premiership and there are only a few proven strikers out there with Premiership experience. I'm just surprised there aren't more clubs publicly interested in Keane at this time.
The betting odds on Keane joining Aston Villa have lowered and rumours, and I mean rumours, are that Villa may be interested. But as Keane won't live in Birmingham as well as his financial demands would surely mean this will remain a rumour only!
Ya support for a team means absolutely nothing these days
the toffees dont pay jelly beans!

I don't think it'd be a tough sell at all. They're crying out for a striker. I really don't think the supporters would care who he liked when he was a young fella kicking a ball off a wall in Tallaght, or even the disasterous few weeks he spent playing for Liverpool. Spurs fans had no problem taking Gallas, United fans, for the most part, had no problem taking Owen (and even those who did put it to one side as he scored an injury time winner against City). Everton would be a super move but I've a feeling he's happy enough to stay where he is, collect his big bucks and hope that an injury or three gives him another opportunity along the way.
I don't think he's suited to Evertons style of play. He's at his best in a traditional 4 4 2. Ironically Spurs current set up is best suited to him but the players ahead of him deserve to be at the minute....
