"A £20m-rated deal involving Crouch "
Probably Crouch plus £8m.
Spurs can have the €35 million and Voronin.
Keane then wins Liverpool the league on the last PL day of the season, thereby condemning Voronin and Spurs to missing 6 gilt-edged chances and a CL spot.
Money well spent.![]()

I can't see how he would fit into Liverpool's team unless it was as a wide midfield player. Torres and Gerrard seem to be Benitez's preference for the front two ... as a backup for Torres maybe?
I was just looking on one of the Liverpool forums there and they all seem happy at the prospect of getting Keane on board. I'd say he'd go to them in a flash. He'd be playing CL and pushing for the EPL title. Playing alongside Torres could improve him aswell.
I think it'd be great for Ireland. The more players we have at the top clubs the better. bring it on.
Crumlin United would be happy. Im not sure what the percentage is but I think they got a good few bob from his previous moves.
They wont get a red cent.

Are Crumlin not on 5%? a cool £1m from a £20m - maybe it's less than that.

I can't see Robbie making it into a full strength Liverpool side. He'll get games in the Carling Cup and in the League games following big CL nights but he won't move Torres or Gerrard who he will be competing with up front. If he has a chance of making it into Liverpool's team for those bigger games it will only be as a wide midfielder in the same way that Kuyt currently does.
To be honest, if he's guaranteed first team football by Ramos at Spurs, he should stay put. I cant see him feature regulary with Liverpool, as benitez seems certain to start gerrard just off torres, and thats why he is so persistent in Garreth Barry to offer balance in the middle. Besides Kuyt's game is the exact seem as Keane, playing off a main striker dropping deep, and he had a good tournament, and is imo underated at liverpool.

I can't really work it out from the article if Eoin Hand is referring to that the training fee is just payable once on all future transfers from FAI to FA
or that it is payable on all future RK transfers
'The significant point we made to FIFA was that Keane had moved out of the jurisdiction of the FAI and because of that all subsequent transfers were governed by the new regulations'
'Spurs should have deducted five per cent of the fee payable to Leeds and that is what will happen in future transfers'.
I am sure that Crumlin will know if a payment is due![]()
Crumlin United don't deal in the Queen's banknote, so when the earlier quoted amount is converted, they would make almost €2 million, for Ireland's record-breaking goalscorer. They are entitled to payments from any Rob transfer.Originally Posted by geysir
You don't pay €30 million for a player to keep him on the bench. Gerrard will play in midfield, while Keane will partner Torres upfront as the main strike force.
Tottenham wont let him go simple as that. And there's nothing Keane can do about it (he signed a 5 year contract last summer). And Crouch doesnt want to go from sitting on the bench at Liverpool to sitting on the bench at spurs , when he can get first team football at portsmouth. The transfer has no legs.
If there is any real truth to this transfer then he will go because of this simple reason: 'Robbie wants medals'.
That was more than evident in his celebrations recently after winning the league Cup. Liverpool will get you medals and spurs wont.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
I remember in Robbie Fowlers book that he got a text of a teammate asking would he like to join Liverpool (when Houllier was there), the teammate sent it to the wrong Robbie! on his phone and Robbie Keane actually said no but i think he was with Leeds at the time and they were doing well then.
