There are 6, possibly 7 posts on page 373 of this thread that do mention Robbie Keane and are not relevant in any way. Some of them clearly even less relevant to his career move than some of those that were moved.
it is very clear and has been made very clear on previous occasions that admin’ing of this forum is highly selective.
He'll be set up perfect for the divisiveness of the Ireland job never mind Rovers
I know where you're coming from, but the Championship is something like the 6th best supported league in Europe. It may or may not be the 6th best in terms of quality, but I doubt it's far off. Israeli clubs don't have the money to attract players of the same calibre. Here's Maccabi Haifa's tranfer record, for example - https://www.transfermarkt.com/maccab...rs/verein/1064 - with their biggest transfers being in the €1M-2M range. I doubt there's anything there to attract or challenge a player like Parrott. But maybe someone a little younger again, or someone based in League 1?

They kept playing him, didn't they?

Well towards the end of the season I think they commented on how well Tom Cannon had worked out and they'd take him again, but made no mention of Parrott. I think Demesne Lad posted a link on one or other of their threads. It didn't give much hope that Parrott would be going back there this season.
I don't see any solid news about his upcoming season yet, but plenty of time of course
They did - possibly in part because once they signed Cannon, Ched Evans got a life-threatening illness which left them short up front again. They scored less than a goal a game which normally gets you in a relegation battle; it's not great on the CV
Edit - those Preston comments (or lack thereof) are posts 216-219 here - https://foot.ie/threads/279283-Tom-C...=1#post2150181)

Given the excalation of events I wonder is he starting to have any doubts? Not just on moral grounds but also security.
I see Stevie Me has gone to Saudi now.
Security might be an issue for him - Not trying to be rude, but I'm fairly sure he's no expert on geopolitics/ethics. A genius footballer in his day and probably just consumed by the game on every level.
Kinda related, but I haven't seen elsewhere on the forum yet: I saw a few days ago that a TD proposed that Ireland play Palestine in a football friendly. That would be a great idea, IMO and I'm sure would provide a lift to the Palestinians (who have more to worry about in fairness, but would appreciate the symbolic solidarity). Would FIFA punish us somehow for playing against them?
Sorry, I meant UEFA.. we'd be the 1st european side to play them, I think?
From reading around they've played a bunch of "unofficial" matches against sides outside of the AFC, including a friendly against Dynamo Moscow once apparently. Regardless, there's no rules preventing nations from different confederations arranging friendlies against the other. I mean, we all remember our rivalry with Oman. Would the fact that the state doesn't recognise Palestine be an issue in that regard?
Anyway, I would say that the Irish team shouldn't be arranging friendlies on the basis of political opinion.
