Idle speculation that he might be tempted to reunite with Harry Redknapp at Birmingham City: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/04/18...ity-to-rejoin/

Because it will probably lower the perception of him as a viable player for a championship level team.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
Received an update from Guinness World Records on the application to recognise Robbie Keane's consecutive years of goalscoring record yesterday, and it's not good news: http://irish-abroad.appspot.com/Blog...70919446889002
That's a pity. It' will be interesting to read their justification, it's appears bullet proof from the case you've put forward (unless they can find something that's incorrect).
I've read through the mail they sent a few times. It could be as simple as that they're not happy with the title of the record.
This is what they sent (most of the rest of the mail is boiler plate "we're sorry, but....." text)
so I've sent this as an alternative title "Most consecutive years of scoring in international soccer"Unfortunately, after thoroughly reviewing your application with members of our research team, we are afraid to say that we cannot accept your proposal as a Guinness World Records title.
They just need to apply some common sense, or make a helpful suggestion surely. Frustrating so see it tick all their boxes and still be returned without seemingly any good reason.
They did suggest "Most consecutive Premier League football seasons scored in" and "Most consecutive football (soccer) FIFA World Cup matches scored in" as alternative titles, which is what inspired me to submit "Most consecutive years of scoring in international soccer" as an alternative.
Incidentally, some recent records on their site include "Longest dog tail" and "Most green coconuts smashed in a minute with the head"
The 'with the head' part. brilliant!
Havin a weekend away is quite frankly, lettin ur team mates down!
I actually hold the record for "most green coconuts smashed in consecutive years with the head". Might explain some of my political leanings
Good work Tets - I think you should resubmit.
Makes you wonder what other body parts there's a record for breaking coconuts with?
It's detailed here: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/...ord-att-469796
There's a video to go with it too.
Sixty-eight bleedin' goals... No matter how often I see it I still get blown away by it.

So does anyone think Robbie will sign with a club this summer?
That's his intention so I don't see why not.
Long time without football though, he could do with finding a club early and getting a full pre-season under his belt.

Robbie (and his son Robert) got a very warm welcome from Spurs fans upon his return to the White Hart Lane pitch today to participate in the club's leaving ceremony: https://www.balls.ie/football/robbie...rt-lane-365024
The Mirror is reporting that Robbie might join Harry Redknapp at Birmingham next season as the club attempts to gain promotion to the EPL: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...wants-10449980
