If Robbie went back to Liverpool,
Abba would reunite to sing a song in tribute.

Today FM mentioned today that robbie was in talks to go on loan to Villa for 2 months
Robbie always was a great foil for the big man up front, maybe he can be the man to kickstart Andy Carroll's Anfield career?
The ironing would be delicious.
He will be part of the Villa Irish revolution though.
It looks like Liverpool are after Darren Bent, so that squares that circle.
"McLeish: Keane deal 'not far away'": http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2012/...stonvilla.html
Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish believes his team will have a "highly motivated" Robbie Keane at their disposal if the striker's proposed loan move from the Los Angeles Galaxy is completed.
McLeish reckons the midlands club will reap the benefits of the Republic of Ireland captain wanting to remain sharp before the Major Soccer League resumes in March and ahead of this summer's Euro 2012 finals.
Villa owner Randy Lerner has sanctioned the deal outside the general sell-to-buy policy to which McLeish has to adhere because of the club's sizeable wage bill.
McLeish, who came close to signing Keane from Tottenham 12 months ago when Birmingham boss, said: "It (the deal) is not far away but I don't like to commit myself until it actually is done.
"The club have sanctioned the deal. They didn't think it was too bad an idea or too big a risk.
Good thinking there and it still irks me how that fool benitez treated Robbie. I doubt very much if it will happen but it would be great if it did just so that Robbie could show up benitez for being such a clown and those Liverpool supporters that thought so much of benitez. Where are all the big clubs that covet benitez so much these days.
I quite flippantly made that post about Keane. But in light of Suarez' suspension and Bellamy's second coming, the idea is not as outlandish as I first thought. Plus, it leaves the door open for Keane to state that it was always his dream as a young lad in Tallaght to sign for his favourite club twice.

I'd know that look anywhere. She definitely looks like she's about to move to Liverpool.
Keane is ironically exactly what Liverpool need right now. They're well and truly up the creek without Suarez, I don't know where they expect their goals to come from in the short term. Buying Bent may well be their solution but thats expensive and creates competition problems in the long run.
For Villa I'm not sure what value Keane would be to them, long or short term. Their primary problem is chance creation, and while Ireland was brought in to solve that according to Villatalk Bent is completely off his wavelength so his moves usually break down. Perhaps the thinking is that Keane is sharper mentally and could link with Ireland more successfully? Although Keane playing a lone striker has never worked out well for him. Could also be as replacement for Ireland to have him link up with Bent in an old fashioned front two. Which while might work in the short seems counter productive in the long term displacing Ireland.
Video on Villas website showing keane training at Villa. Can't say i blame keane saving face with his initial statement, but it was obvious he would go if he could get a move, which he has. Will be good to see him back in the premiership for a couple of months.
Be interesting to see how an irish spine combine in the Premiership. I liked the look of ireland and keane when they played together at international level.
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
Robbie does not have to save any face, After all, he did make that statement at the end of Galaxy's season, after a period where he jam-packed about 10 games inside 20 days, coupled with navigating the globe a few times.
Whatever you think Geysir.
But he had always intended on playing if he got a decent move.

I doubt he was thinking that, at that time and place when he was exhausted and that explains his definitive 'no' to the question of a loan move.
After a nice bit of rest and recreation, he had another perception about playing through his off-season period.
I wonder is this still on the cards

We'd have all our eggs in one basket so to speak.McLeish searching for cash to fund £1.5m January swoop for Fulham winger Duff
McLeish is heading for the sack there sooner or later, his tenure has seen a win rate of 25% and the decline of some of the clubs key players with their form falling off a cliff under him (Collins, Warnock, Bent) along with the poor transfer business of signing Hutton and Jenas.
I don't think its a good move for any Irish player to be heading towards Villa at present. No harm in Keanes loan but Duff could potentially be frozen out when the inevitable new manager rolls in.
