But Spurs' does?
But Spurs' does?
I just saw a Bayern centre forward miss an absolute sitter. No way would Robbie have missed it. I'd say that makes Robbie CL semi-finalist (or finalist if Bayern stay ahead) standard myself.
Not being good enough for Chelsea or Man U is hardly a damning indictment. That said, I'm not convinced Kalou is top drawer. Maybe I haven't watched him enough.
It wasn't Olic who missed the sitter (or was it? I had the sound turned down as I was on the phone). First minute, open goal, missed target....
Been looking for stats on penalties robbie has taken, how many scored/missed. Anyone have an idea?
You think as a Spurs fan id love Keane but no I hate him he thinks he owns the club and can do what he likes but that wont happen with Harry in charge. I had no prob. with him going to Liverpool it was his so called boy hood club after all and he had been a great servant 2 our club but when it didnt work out we brought him home but then his so called other boy hood club came calling and off to Celtic he went. Everyones saying how well he did over there but the truth is I could do what he did in Scotland their league is crap. And he got player of the year for celtic what a suprise Keano says jump Celtic fans say how high. And when Neil Lennon said there was going to b a clear out Keano backed it who said u wrnt been cleaned out to Keano. And of course as expected he was gifted the captaincy. And all the teams he scored against were useless he never scored in the Old Firm games did he....... And now ive just red that his 1st club Wolves are coming in for him i suppose he loves them as well does he well if it dsnt work out and we take him back again (which we wont) then i supose he will want another shot at Italian football and move over there ... Keano your a discrase and your not needed anymore so go and dictate some other club
Kids! don't you just love them.
Schools closed today?
just when I thought there might be a bit of peace around here with Yapster suspended
Its really not that complicated!!!
Welcome to the forum Kieran. Another Robbie Keane post that ignores any argument based on facts or reality.
His move to Liverpool: Yeah, he supported Liverpool as a kid, but they were also a top four club playing Champions League football at the time and Spurs weren't (how the tables have turned now) so it was a good footballing move. Spurs were happy to take the cash and Benitez never really wanted him. He was dropped straight after excellent performances for Liverpool and was inevitably subbed on the 60 minute mark when he started games, no matter how well he was playing. It has been highlighted before, but he has a better record for Liverpool than some of the other 'top class' strikers that Liverpool persisted with (Morientes was one).
His move to Celtic: He was out of the Spurs team and was given the chance to play first team football in a league where he was likely to score a lot of goals. I don't think he really wanted to go, but wasn't assured of a place in the Spurs team so left, to, y'know, play some football. If he really "dictates to the club", surely he would have dictated to Spurs that he needed to be picked for every game? And so what if they game him the captaincy? Celtic are a team that have been lacking leaders all season. Darren O'Dea has captained the side on a number of occasions and he's not even guaranteed a place in the first team. Finally, maybe he's getting Celtic's player of the year award having become their top scorer for the entire season having only been involved 14 games?
It does look like he'll be moved on in the future. Wherever he goes, he'll continue to score goals like he has been doing consistently since 1997. As for your final comment that he's a "discrase", care to qualify that with any kind of sensible argument whatsoever?
here now thats totally over the top, if you had the chance to better yourself by playing in the champions league would you not take it? so it doesn't work out because the manager is a bit of an idiot when it comes to managing forward players you go back to a club you consider home, whats wrong with that? then he looses his place in the team, mainly because of his team mates very good form, so you go on loan for half a season to a club you support (yes i know it's because of the idiotic i'm Irish i support Celtic mentality) to get your confidence back. theres nothing wrong with any of that, and yes Celtics squad is in need of a massive overhaul. And Celtic sold their captain in January did they not? so it's not just like he walked in there and demanded the Captaincy, the team had no leaders
Look I find robbie annoying as hell sometimes to watch but he is still the best forward we have and probably will ever have and he deserves a lot of respect for that fact alone and where w=ever he ends up you know he will get 20 plus goals again next season.
Irrational character assignations of players with little or no basis is only asking for a ban not to mention a lot of angry reply's
