    The Leicester City connection?

Interesting article on the back of The Echo tonight in relation to City's ties with Leicester.

I wonder will they bring some players over for the remainder of the season? Certainly, if they got a couple of defenders it might plug some of the holes - short term.

I have a real fear that if we get any more injuries we are going to end up with no defenders at all.

In fairness to Murphy, he has been unlucky with injuries. I haven't seen so many players get crocked ( O'Grady, Horgan, Napier, Reynolds ) or be unavailable ( Daly, Warren, Mulligan until recently ) so early into the season. There aren't many LoI teams could get by without having that injury list affect them.

BTW what has happened to Colin T. He seems to have gone off the scene of late. He's a good 'un. Would he not have been worth a shot in Longford - he has pace and is always up for it.

Also, can anyone tell me why there were no subs used in Longford? Surely some of the lads could have done with a rest - what sort of message is Murphy giving here. Doesn't he have any confidence in them?

I presume you mean Colin P (forward) ? He still there on the bench but is behind jof, goc & mulligan.

IMO he didn't have much options on the bench last week. It wasn't necessarily the players on the pitch playing so badly but the tactics being used.

Still though, pete, when a goal behind and when there was 15 minutes to go, a fresh pair of legs, or few pairs !, could have made a bit of a difference surely?
And wouldn't have bringing on a few subs meant a change in the tactics ??

There has to be a reason why no subs were used for the 90mins when this was our 3rd game in 8days, is he trying to get a few to collapse with a heart attack and then claim off the insurance and also sue Longford...................... hmmmmmm maybe they are his tactics...

Gunther the man with more tic tacs than tactics

    Not with Gunther.
Tactic A - who knows what that is
Tactic B = Tactic A with different players.

He did on saturday have billy as part of 3 man forward line for last 10 minutes but that was more desparation than anything as well as the fact the ball was sailing over billys head in midfield all game anyway.

Maybe he uses telepathy to talk to the players on the pitch

I dunno about signing leicester players. I mean the link up pretty much seems to have disappeared, and the last thing we want is for someone to remind them!

For crying out loud, leicester are in such a state i wouldn´t even suggest stealing a manager from them, never mind players!

Please just let this Leicester thing just go away. I thought it was all over.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Is embarrassing as well. Even the junior clubs in Ireland linked up with a better club than City. eg Home Farm & Leeds.

    City & Leicester.....major cringe factor.
