Please note the change of time: 7.45pm.
there is no imagine if pa mul picks the best 11 players in this town they will beat limerick iv seen limerick alot this season and the standard of football is very poor there a shambles some very poor players e.g tommy barrert paul rose colm hefferan kevin walters mooney to name a few are not up to league of ireland standard. football aside this is an excellant cause i will be there and will spread the word really hope there is a very good att.. very good cause
IMO
GORDON STEWART OF CAREW PARK is better than any of limericks keepers any limerick fan would admit that
DAVID DUNPHY balla. is better than limericks right full
MARK SHEEHAN regional. better than limericks left full
PAT MCGARRY (pike)
A FULLY FIT SNIFFER (dermot phelan) pike
ROB COMBS ul
ALBERT SLATTARY ( carew park)
DANNY GALVIN (regional)
are all better than tommy barrert
frankie stewart regional. excellant finisher very quick never gives defenders a mins peace.
ROBERT EARLS balla. if was not suspended
alan barry boro. would of got bags of goals for limerick if he had any sort of team around him when he played with lims finished rock bottom that season if memory is correct.
monty carew park. lighting quick striker excellant finisher what limerick dont have.
these players are better than all limerick strikers except derek mc and drew doent even start with him
JUST MY OPINON HOW ABOUT THE LIMS DIE HARD WHO IN JUNIOR SOCCER IN TOWN WOULD GET INTO THE STARTING 11 OF THIS PRESENT LIMERICK TEAM BE HONEST LADS
Aaaahhh....if only for good old punctuation !!........
However, someone with these types of opinions hardly is capable of any.
GORDON STEWART OF CAREW PARK is better than any of limericks keepers any limerick fan would admit that. Well he certainly is madder, but definitely not better.
DAVID DUNPHY balla. is better than limericks right full. He's tried the EL thing...failed miserably in a time when it was not as high a standard as it is today.
MARK SHEEHAN regional. better than limericks left full. Don't know the lad.
PAT MCGARRY (pike), A FULLY FIT SNIFFER (dermot phelan) pike, ROB COMBS ul, ALBERT SLATTARY ( carew park), DANNY GALVIN (regional) are all better than tommy barrert.![]()
you're a funny guy.
frankie stewart regional. excellant finisher very quick never gives defenders a mins peace. Wouldn't last 10 mins in the Eircom League.
ROBERT EARLS balla. if was not suspended. Should stick to the boxing.
alan barry boro. would of got bags of goals for limerick if he had any sort of team around him when he played with lims finished rock bottom that season if memory is correct. Same comments apply as those of Dunphy.
monty carew park. lighting quick striker excellant finisher what limerick dont have.
these players are better than all limerick strikers except derek mc and drew doent even start with him. Maybe so
JUST MY OPINON HOW ABOUT THE LIMS DIE HARD WHO IN JUNIOR SOCCER IN TOWN WOULD GET INTO THE STARTING 11 OF THIS PRESENT LIMERICK TEAM BE HONEST LADS. If I understand the question, I doubt any junior players at the moment with the exception of Keith Hartnett would make the Limerick squad.

ha ha please take off the limerick glasses so your saying NOEL MOONEY is a better goalkeeper than gordon stewart joesoap your the funny guy. iv lost count on how many times mooney has cost limerick vital goals. if i recall he was the fault of 3 in one game against dundalk i think i lost count at 13 ya joe some keeper alright you know im right admit it.
as i said alan barry was playing long side hamsters when he played with limerick the team was getting hammered every single week what did the team create in goal scoring chances for alan barry nothing.
as for tommy barrett in midfield the man does nothing what are you watching you can count in one hand how many passes find an actual limerick player
agree to disagree i suppose joe anyway its all in an excellant cause
Whatever about Mooney, Austin O'Neill is better than anything in the LDMC at the moment. I've only seen Gordon Stewart once and he looked handy enough to be fair though it's still debatable if he could make the step up.
David Dunphy is a handy player. No worse than some of our fringe players now.
Tommy Barrett on the other hand is an excellent player. Can't fathom the criticism there.

hes dead right there about tommys "passing". its woeful for any standard.
he is also correct in stating mooney has shgipped some awful costly goals this season. however gordon banks stewart could never make the switch to eircom league - did you see the head on him in the paper about 2 weeks ago? big affro and boot polish - he looked like phil lynott.
you gowl!
Bobby Ryan, originally coming from Moyross, quite near where the tragedy happened, has been given permission from Shels to play in the game.
Nice touch.
Tommy Barrett isn't up to LOI?
Heff isn't up to LOI?
The rest of your post barely warrants response after that nonsense but here goes anyway....
John Healy and Austin O'Neill are both better than Gordon Stewart
David Dunphy is a LOI failure wouldn't get near the Limerick team, the fact that you rate him so highly says a lot about the junior scene tbh
As for all these excellent strikers you mention, I'll grant you, Alan Barry is handy enough but what about the calibre of centre-half they face every week compared to Eircom League??
Face it Limerick's a higher standard, if anyone around town was that good I'd like to think they'd try and better themselves by signing for us![]()
This nonsense comes up again and again, and I wish I had a euro for all these brilliant players in the junior ranks who would set the eL alight. Its amazing how they don't get noticed by other eL clubs even if LFC don't have the sense to sign them. Or maybe they are happy being superstars in their sad little leagues having fools tell them how brilliant they are.
I suppose that Tommy Barrett being selected on the eL first division team last season wasn't subjective enough? Heffernan, Purcell and Mooney have had long enough careers in the eL even at this stage and have played well in the top flight. Both Heff and Purcell would still be playing premier if they hadn't chosen to come home to play. Even Rose was signed by a premier club (Pats) originally but injuries prevented him from getting a run. Obviously somebody who knows something about football saw him as an eL player, while nobody has seen the same in any of the players you mention.
Hopefully, LFC will win the game but even a loss won't mean the junior ranks are better. What decides that is that the club plays at a higher level than the juniors and holds it own at that level. And over a long period clubs at that level have consistently beaten junior clubs. That's much more telling than a one-off charity game.
"It's impossible to make a man understand something when his livelihood depends on him not understanding" Upton Sinclair
Heff, Chukka and Barrett were all part of the Fairview junior side that so easily brushed aside all the other junior clubs in Limerick, and won a few FAI junior cups, a few years back. Nuff said.
anybody know if you can pay at the gate for the match tonight, won't get the chance to get a ticket.
Who won the game last night??
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later
FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT
Limerick Fc won 3 2 dispite efforts by Gough (Ref) to even things up near the end. The LDMC team started well and were by far the biggest team the limerick fringe/under 21/guests have played this year. Ex Blues Rossi Cosgrave and Keith Harnett shone and got both goals but as the game wore on superior fitness showed. Cant rem who scored all of limericks goals as i was too busy watching Limerick sub Dave Ryan destroy an overweight David DunphyI think a younger more skill orintated team could have been picked by LDMC. **** turnout about 150/200. Biggest thing going against a good game? the pitch. I dont care its the worst pitch in Limerick
Lads to be honest i think that yee are leaving a lot better keepers out of this... Owen lynch "when away from the garggle"Ian Bennis "when not suspended... These are 2 that have proved to be the best in town if not munster...They might not have there heads screwed on at times but when they do theres nothing in town weather its junior or senior football to stop them......
