    Steve O'Flynn

Popped into jackman park on the way back from longfod to see limerick win 1-0 over monaghan,. Steve o'flynn hit the winner from a free kick after coming on as a sub. Cracker of a goal, and his all round play was fairly handy. Limerick overall played fairly well, and look like a side who'll cause other teams problms, but not strong enough to go up.

article in the programme about limerick playing real madrid some years back- never knew about that one!

i read about that recently. i think they played the match in Lansdowne Road. Limerick went one nil up and were playing really well. They then got a penalty for a chance to go two up but it was missed!! In the end REal won the game 2-1 and if i remember what the article said were lucky to do so. Limerick lost the return leg 5-1, so some Limerick player scored in the Bernabau!!!!

    btw whats Jackman park like?

Steve o'Flynn is nothing to John O'Flynn i suppose?

Absolutley dreadful! There is one tiny stand, holds only 100 id say, the rest is just flat grass and gravel. If they were to get promoted there is no way they will be allowed to play there. The place is a kip and an embarassment to the league.
