Correct, but better than that - the I-Roy one is a version of "Wolf and Leopard" with his own rude lyrics laid on top, the Niney one was just him mucking about with the original riddim on his own, probably while he was waiting for someone else to come into the studio to cut another version of the same tune.

You gotta love the Jamaican approach to copyright.

TGS, do you have the Stuart A.Staples album?
What's it like? I'm a big Tindersticks fan, and that's on my wishlist.

I have the more recent one 'Leaving Songs', and think it's definitely up there with Tindersticks more recent stuff, while not reaching the level of the first two albums. Then again there's very few recordings that would hit the heights of them first two Tindersticks albums. But all in all a very good album and well worth getting your hands on.

Big Tindersticks fan too, though they lost it a tiny a bit after Simple Pleasures, my favourite of theirs by a long way, what was that, their 4th one?
Must have a look out for the Stuart Staples stuff so.

'Leaving Songs', that's the one. Didn't realise there was an earlier one. I'm so out of touch.

Stann, I really like Simple Pleasures, and yes, by my count it's the fourth. The debut album is still by far my favourite. The second and curtains I used to listen to a lot, but not as much now. I like 'Can our love', but the last couple aren't as strong as S.P.

I didn't know there was another one either until I got 'Leaving Songs'.
'Lucky Dog Recordings' I think is the name of it. As far as I know he played in Sugar Club not so long ago. Didn't hear any reports of it though.

Wow! Babes in Toyland, totally forgotten about them noby. Jesus they were tough girlies! Have Fontanelle on cassette or vinyl somewhere I'm sure, is that the one with Bruise Violet on it? Some song. Some band. Must dig that out.
