It's amazing that O'Cearuill is suddenly good enough for the U21s now that he's at Arsenal. I'd be pretty sure he informed the FAI about his eligibilty while at Leyton Orient but this is his first call up for us at any level.
Colin Doyle is 21 so would probably not be eligible for us in the next campaign. This is mainly players from last years U19s.
Good to see Long called straight back in because nothing is certain with Givens. Anyone know how Gibson is getting on over in Belgium?

Yeah he came on after an hour in their last game. They have a decent website:

Was there a Darren naming frenzy in the mid '80's?
4 Darrens and one Darron in the squad
i see we have two s****s now , Where did the guy Morris come from?
Ian Morris was on the books at Leeds. Was on loan at Blackpool last season and now at S'thorpe, permanent move I think but not sure. Scored last Saturday on TV away to Forest, as did Andy Keogh. Played on the left but afaik is an attacking midfielder. A bit like Alan Mahon in style.
In one game for Blackpool he scored twice. He was interviewed on SKY after the game & he has a really strong Dublin accent.
OK, not exactly a full scouting report, but it's what I know!
Morris played a few times for the U21s. Think he's an attacking central midfielder who can play on the wing.
Where is this game being played?
luxembourg

Belfast & Derry well represented in u21 squad
Belfast teenagers Michael O'Connor and Tony Kane have both been named in Don Givens u21 squad for the friendly international against Luxemburg on Tuesday 18th October.
O'Connor, who has been with Crewe since arriving as a sixteen year old, recently signed a three year extension to his present contract and after recovering from a pre-season injury has comfortably held his place in central midfield with some superb displays, including a goal of the season contender against Grimsby Town in the Carling Cup.
Blackburn reserve team player Tony Kane is hoping to impress Mark Hughes this season and push for a starting position in the Blackburn defence.
Kane was part of Blackburn's successful Academy squad that won the national title and was awarded shirt number 34 at the end of March 2006 having signed a new 2-year deal, that will keep him at Rovers until 2008.
Derry born midfielder Darron Gibson is currently at Man United feeder club Royal Antwerp and due to a knee injury, only made his debut for the Belgian side during last weeks 0-0 draw with KVK Kortrijk.
