    I always thought that Stephen Ireland should have been given a chance for Ireland. Maybe his poor performance against Cyprus was down to him not having a suitable partner to complement his play, or that he hasn't been playing enough first team football this season. I think he has plenty of potential and should definitely be given another chance sometime in the future.

    I agree he has got potential.Like all young players he needs some top class coaching.Sometimes I wonder would so many of our young talent disappear off the radar if they were being nurtured somewhere like Holland not that that is ever going to happen.
