I will say one thing, if what is in the picture was built you'd have one of, if not the best grounds in the league right there.

By rule do thumb, you mean covering most of the plans with your thumb and the visible part is what you actually get.

You'd want to have a pretty big thumb for that to work.

Well phases 1 & 2 were to get the ground up to the regulations while the original main stand on one side plus the provision of away covered seating behind one goal was also included. The provision of terracing and cover on the side opposite the main stand an the other goal end was to be considered for the future as the team developed. So I suppose its a typical Irish development!

Everyone missing the key words here: “could POTENTIALLY look like”. Still time 😀

Imagine how off-the-wall the plans would have been if Pat's had taken the FAI's five grand?

would be phenomenal if it happened , Bohs and Shels playing out of the new Dalyer, PAts in their new 12000 all seater and Rovers in a completed 4 sided Tallaght Stadium.
    Its not an impossible dream

That will never work without direct bus routes (or spaceship landing spots)

    12,000 seater stadium.

    Big corporate facilities.

    Loads of shopping.

    Loads of houses.

    Fancy European archeticture.

    ..

Can't host a group stage game in Europe.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

The plans have legs imo. The type of people Mr K works with are well capable of doing the project which not only would be fantastic for the club but the entire area.

Who ultimately will bear the cost of the stadium?

Will it Dublin City Council through a lower sales price for the land, or Kelleher through a lower profit margin on the shopping centre?

The huge ace we have with this proposal is the urban development aspect with shopping & leisure facilities aswell as having Richmond up our sleves that can be used for more housing. I can't see any other tender ticking those sort of boxs it's all depends on what DCC want now.

Inchicore badly needs some major investment in the area. Unfortunately, Dublin City Council doesn't have the wit or imagination to lead on it.Leaving social and recreational development to "Developers hasn't exactly worked either. A new stadium with no public funding? Unlikely.
While I would love to see Pats stay in Inchicore in a brand new stadium, stadium sharing in Tallaght would make a lot more sense.
