There will be a use it or lose it clause by some time next year so now would be an ideal time to approach the different parties involved to get development plan together for the old terrace and the adjoining retail units. The high rise building and façade of Tesco/shops I think have had a preservation notice on them so would have to be incorporated in to a broader redevelopment of the area somehow.
But Dalmyount remains in use, and the areas that aren't used on matchdays are part od the broader site. So I can;t see how they could be deemed as derelict and not in use - without them being formally/legally cut off from the rest of the site ?

Different owners of multiple parcels of land behind the shopping centre goal thats not in use and is derelict and no longer is part of Dalymount in that regard.

    Statement from FHFC: https://finnharps.ie/bringithome/

And if anyone wants to help make it happen and maybe win €20k in doing so, we would really appreciate it!

Interesting stadium plan by Finn Harps. I hope they get this over the line.

I supported a Finn Harps draw many years ago. My help didn't make it happen then sadly. The work stalled. I will however enter the draw for September. Remember me when the Kingdom enters the League of Ireland.

Is probably been mentioned here before but what's the reason behind the terraced end at Tolka only half opened. I see they've installed a big fence about half way up so only the lower half of the terrace can hold people. I'm assuming it's a health and safety thing? Like the perimeter walls aren't good at the back or the stand can safely only hold so much weight??
They've done a great job with that terrace tho - it looks the business. Brings a great atmosphere too.

Toilet facilities aren't there to let more fans in

God that's poor. And they couldn't even install portable toilets somewhere in order to get that terrace opened fully?

I've heard those are very hard to get at the moment. So many gigs and events happening post covid that there is a shortage.

I heard earlier in the year it was due to fire regs. There'd need to be more exits if there was more people allowed in that end. No idea how true that is

I've noticed we haven't had the portaloo in the shed side this year either. Wonder has it to do with that. What's the story with the random seating now behind where the order of malta bes as well?

They were the subs extra seating last year. They were the old seats from the back of the shed, just never put back. We should just take them all out and screw them down on the town end, or work them into the shed as far as I'm concerned.

Seats all removed and pre smashing it to bits work done over the last week or so, would expect it to start being rased after this weekend.

Only what I saw in a mail to members of the seats & what's already out there on social media, they're offering them to members as keepsakes and to be collected this weekend. All are in absolute rag order though and not fit for much, never mind sitting in!

Think demolition work is starting early next week then, if I'm around I'll throw my head in and see if I can grab a few snaps at some stage next week.

Just to follow on from this after being at the Dundalk game, only seats removed from two sections of the Connaught, half a block each.

They still have to remove all the rest before they can bring in the wrecking crew to take it down. Del Boy was saying they're keeping the turnstyles and they'll be put back in for the proper new stand when it goes up during the full redevelopment which is great to hear, any bit of history that can be kept in use is great to see.

It's a pity the Connaught was a concrete pour as it'll all just go back to mush to be recycled into another pour elsewhere. It'd be great to see if they could ensure the stuff removed could get recycled back into the pour or construction of the redeveloped stand, probably a logistical non runner though. If it was bricks and mortar they could sell it off as memorabilia or put some of it back in to keep the history of the place going.
