Any Bohs fans here? Havent been to Phibsboro, or Ireland at all, for about 8 years. Dalymount was really aging at the time. Now I see you have improved on a couple of stands. So what about the stand behind the goal, towards the city. There was nothing at the time. Any progress there? And, my best wishes to "Mick", lovely ol fella responsible for a car park behind the opposite goal, "the Shed". Bless... and a great club pub run by Bohs supporters, in 2013 or so, I could get a pint of Heineken/Carlsberg for something like 3,20 euro. Can imagine its double that price these days.

The whole place is in poor condition. To be fair, credit to the people who have kept it going, but that's all part of the nostalgia and charm of it. Getting knocked down sometime next year, turned 90° and rebuilt to hold approx 8,000.

South Dublin County council like the rest of the place I’d say. The SDCC are pumping a nice few quid into facilities in fairness to them.

On Second Captains this week David Sneyd mentioned that Pat's were looking at ways to increase capacity in the short term for next season. Has anyone heard any details? There might be issues with making the full shed available to home fans given the narrow access point via the Camac and with access from the other side blocked by the away section.

I wonder if removing the seats in the singing section would be a runner from a health and safety perspective. Opens up twice as many rows, given that everyone stands in there anyway. Would reduce European capacity but later rounds are held in Tallaght anyway.

There's probably room to slightly expand the Patrons' Stand behind the goal but not sure if that's feasible practically or financially.

Any more word on this , is it likely to happen ?

Perhaps, but they recently received a grant of circa €300k, so more renovations are planned prior to the new season, mostly on replacing the astro turf, but also at the away end, I believe.

Ridiculous decision.
The sooner they're banned, the better.
Thing is, even if they're banned tomorrow, you'll have to give clubs 10 years to change over, so as to not financially disadvantage them. Bray will still be sitting with that pitch in 2034.

Unfortunately it seems its a replacement 4g and not a return to grass, I'd almost pull out for a year if it meant going back to grass, you even miss that magical late spring, late autumn smell of it.

It looks like an absolutely class covered terrace. I wish new Dalymount had the space to put something like that in... one end may look a little like that in the corner but it's closer to a smaller version of the Dell/Southampton. Hopefully will look well but the terrace in Derry looks brilliant.
