It would be great if Bohs could stay and develop Dalymount the home of Irish soccer.
    Yeah ACC took an up front settlement on the loan. Only major creditor left now is our chairman I think.

    I remember seeing the list of items that UEFA set out for clubs to host round 1 and 2 games, it was over 100 items. Things like back up generators on site, bulb strenghts for floodlights, car parking, wi fi connections, 2k seating capacity (3k actually I think), pitch obviously, not sure if a repeat inspection is required or how long any previous licence lasts and assume same would apply for all competing clubs, but the criteria was intensive, thats for sure.
    #DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

    UEFA inspections/ guidelines are a joke going form our game against Trnava from Albania a few years back. We spent 14 k getting the Showgrounds up to standard for the inspection. When we went over to Albania the stadium was falling down, no womens toilets water flowing down walls, big holes in the ground. It was ridiculous.
    Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
    Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
    Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

    Rumour has it the Albabians were attempting to fail the inspection and were stunned to pass.

    All the ground regulations (etc) are there

    Here's the Europa League guidelines
    http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/...1_DOWNLOAD.pdf

    Unless stipulated otherwise in these regulations, matches in the competition must be played in a stadium which meets the structural criteria of the following categories as defined in the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations (2010edition):

    a) category 2 for the first and second qualifying rounds;
    b) category 3 for the third qualifying round and play-offs;
    Here's the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations (2010 edition):

    http://www.fai.ie/PDF/UEFAStadiumInf...ations2010.PDF

    They're clearly flexible enough with it though

    I'd go to oriel if Drogheda played a Euro tie there. I'd reckon they'd get 200-300 football fans from the town as well.

    No brainer for them, 25 minutes, no tolls and a suitable sized ground that they can create a good atmosphere in.

    No, but would a powerpoint presentation be too much to ask?
    I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

    It is but they would rather go waste more money like the Turkish friendly that collapsed and cost them.

    The New Finn Park's funding has finally come through and the workers are back on site. They hope to have "significant" work done on the ground by the end of the Summer.

    Finally it looks like happening, even the most optimistic of us were beginning to doubt it lately.

    Site levelled out, diggers there. I believe the stone/concrete bit is to be the main stand site, which is first on the agenda.
