Never heard of them. Are you referring to Casey's Field and Head In The Game Park (formerly Hunky Dorys Park and O2 Park)

I had forgotten about O2 Park. Cant forget Hunky Dorys Park where they had no Hunky Dorys in the shop, Longford fans would not have been pleased!

Head in the Game park is such a poxy name for a ground.

Well, one particular Longford fan anyway. I have fond memories of an 0-5 win in O2 Park back in the day.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

It's one of the worst named grounds ever. I appreciate the sentiment, but it's ridiculous. A ramshackle, falling apart ground being the center stage for mental wellbeing.

Missed this the other day. Site levelled and ready for work to get going again in Stranorlar.

Pitch looks an improvement on Finn Park anyway.

Will there ever be an account given on the difficulties with the builder and the arrangement for the land swap of Finn Park, of who owned what and when and the schedule of transfer, work schedules and what payments if any were made out of grant funding to the builder and whether they are still involved in the project or walked before planning levies could be billed to then? All part of the story unless people involved wouldnt take kindly to the suggestion that they were messing and still need to be kept sweet for a while longer.

I'd be fairly sure you're the only person who wants to see any of that.

I'd also be fairly sure it's all sorted without it ever needing to be broadcast publicly.

    Also,
    (a) I haven't a clue
    (b) I don't particularly care
    (c) I just want to see the damn thing finished
    (d) Buy a draw ticket to support it being finished.. https://annualdraw.finnharpsfc.ie/

Department of sport maybe when deciding that issuing grants was too risky. If there is nothing to hide then it doesnt need to be kept cloak and dagger. There could be some yards in this saga yet!

will certainly buy a draw ticket and enjoy the winnings in Dundalk ;p

The first season that FH are in this ground, you would image the away crowds will be massive, all wanting to visit the new ground, hopefully FH will be still in the PD then.

Looking forward to heading back to Jacksons !

Who is that buried under the cross in the middle of the picture?
I've heard Ollie is geting stuck into the players lately but that does seem to be taking things a bit far.

Betting man would suggest that's pitch perimeter.

A betting man would still refuse to get involved in the shadow play of Stranrolar. Pretty far from the stand if it is to be the pitch perimeter but on sbgawa comment it does look more like a cemetery being opened than a football ground but who has needed to be buried to get a move on happening??? I wouldnt have thought confidentiality would be needed to stop clubs calling out troublesome contractors that bin agreements quicker than the Brits.

Id say they are just the site levels that were taken and marked by the crosses, 2 in the middle ground, possibly one left background and bound to be some out of pic. No ground works or soil shading to indicate drainage or piping done yet.

Sligo are some club for fundraising. Every season they seem to be able to raise funds for the club.
