Not at all. Its just too difficult to hold back from having a go a Harps fan.

They're surely happy enough with the sheep without the delectable temptation of a bit o'red.

One or two popped up on the GUST forum, behaving like muppets too.

Sligo are doing great, Galway football is in bad shape, we get it.

In fairness as much as I enjoy having a pop at Harps fans, it would be great to see them back in the Premier. Id enjoy a wee trip up to Donegal any day before heading to The Pale visiting the current bottom grounds like Carlise grounds or the Bowl. (and its 3 easy points up there too)

Now I know it's not the most reliable of sources but this caught my eye the other day on the Aviva Stadium Wiki page.

Unlike its predecessor, which was solely owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union(IRFU), the current stadium is controlled by the IRFU and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) through a 50:50 joint venture known as the Lansdowne Road Stadium Development Company (LRSDC). The joint venture has a 60-year lease on the stadium;[11] on expiry the stadium will return to the exclusive ownership of the IRFU.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

IRFU own the site. I'd say 60 years is well past the life expectancy of the stadium anyway.

    What Macy said.

So in 2049 the FAI may realise this and get the yips!

The soccer team will always play there, probably just have to pay rent. I assume this was the scenario pre-Aviva? That'll be a good 20 years after Séamus Coleman manages us to World Cup glory though, I'd hope the FAI will be minted.

You forgot the part where JD will be still in charge of the FAI earning 1million euro a week

The Pale stopped at Dalkey. We've no association with those leds behind the fence!

Pat's rebuilt 'Patrons Stand'. Now complies with all UEFA regulations. Presumably this takes capacity back up to around 3,000?

Does it come down now again after the one home european match? Would be a pity if so and a bit of a waste without the expected annual st pats european run

It's back in permanently supposedly. A good move by Pat's. Another one at the other side and they'll be flying.
