Has anyone heard any news on the Dalymount sale. Can't find anything anywhere
Nerely a month has gone by now , surely there must have been some developments in that time .
Nothing huge.
Just wondering, in the 15 months since this thread was started, what's gone on at each of the clubs? (Also just by way of getting updates from the various clubs)
- Athlone - moved into Lissywollen, or at least a quarter of it anyway
- Bohs - sold Dalyer with plans to have someone else build a ground in Harristown. Currently held up by an objection from the shopping centre?
- Bray - new canvas stand on one side to replace Croke Park
- Cobh - new stand in place
- Cork - new stand in place
- Derry - do they now own the Brandywell? Plans to do up the rest of the ground.
- Drogheda - where's this at? No news in ages.
- Dundalk - Terrace done up and the ground generally tidied up.
- Finn Harps - new ground still in the pipeline.
- Galway - new stand in place
- Kildare - nothing doing?
- Limerick 37 - moved ground again; any plans to do it up?
- Longford - nothing, but then not much obvious really needed
- Monaghan - no news
- Shamrock Rovers - work on Tallaght to recommence shortly
- Shels - still spending Tolka; no news on a move out?
- Sligo - no news?
- St Pat's - new stand in place, then removed. No other news?
- UCD - new ground in place
- Waterford - new stand almost in place
- Wexford - planning permission holding up new stand
Certainly a remarkable amount of work done in a short space of time.
Is the Croke Park comment a Neil Jordan reference?

CHANGES CONTINUE AT KINGSPAN CENTURY PARK
Wednesday, 06 February 2008
As Monaghan United strive towards improving facilities at Kingspan Century Park fans will notice some changes when they arrive at the ground for the new season. Firstly they will pass through new electronic turnstiles on their way into the ground. Once there they will see the new enclosed Press facilities at the back of the stand and they will also be able to keep an eye on the scores thanks to a new electronic scoreboard!
These changes are a start of things to come at United’s homeground as they endeavour to make the ground more and more user friendly.

Just this morning one of the FAS lads was painting a gate.
In fairness since we came back to the Jacks there have been huge improvements.
Electronic Turnstiles.
Tarmacing around the entrance area and the front of the Shed.
Gravelling behind one of the goals.
Hacking down the jungle on the far side.
Don't get me wrong it's still an absolute kip but it's nowhere near as dangerous a kip as it once was.
No real plans for future development mind you as we are waiting to see will this Re-Generation Board give us a concrete handout in the form of a 7,000 seater stadium across the road.
