Maybe Lambo & Co. will turn it down in protest at being awarded it by the imperialist lackeys in Govt .

Good stuff for the league as a whole, hopefully many other grounds can follow suit in some capacity.

It's an interesting one with Richmond, clearly something going on (or being attempted anyway) but the club are quite private about it since the whole Richmond Arena situation. Have seen/heard some talk of the pitch being rotated 90 degrees in the new plan but who knows at this stage.

The first 2 clubs there are explained by the fact that UEFA did a pilot of it in Germany and Scotland. If Spurs have it then it must be approved fully now.

Does that mean the other €15 million is also secured? We're not going to end up with a half built stadium and scrambling for funding type situation?

We’ve already been allocated grant money,it’s accessing it is the problem, if we can’t raise our part they could allocate 50 million and it wouldn’t matter a jot …..

I saw a quote from Thomas Byrne that there’s a ‘use it or lose it’ policy with this years grants and there’s a reserve list of grant requests (including Drogheda's stadium one) that will be allocated money if it isn’t used within a particular timeframe. Any idea if that use it or lose it policy applies to grants from previous years such as Harps one?

I’ve no idea but knowing our luck we’ll probably lose it and be back to square one…

There was an expiry on all grants in the past albeit up to 5 years. Maybe it changed for a while but Im glad to see it back. Plans should always include money to draw down grants, shouldnt be submitted unless they can be allocated and tbh that isnt as big a deal as in the past with low interest loans availavle from Clan Credo and others who have become availabe to Irish sports. If the grant has been allocated there is little reason not to use these facilities to get things moving. At the very least the whole draw down amount doesnt have to be fundraised.

Some interesting stuff in that :

:Plan to move out of Dalymount at the end of next season and be back in 2028.
:Want to remain in the Northside and have held talks over playing at Parnell park but have not really progressed.
:cut in playing budget over the next couple of seasons.

Not the best place to discuss but the cut in playing budget shouldnt be a surprise. Bohs squad has been frankly bloated with players the last couple of seasons. In total I think Bohs had 33 first team players last year, which for a club not playin Euro games is unncessary (Squad still only ever had 1 LB and no decent striker). Reynolds had said at the start that he wanted a smaller squad supplimented by players from the academy, that was what it was like when Bohs were at their best under Long, When we moved away from that and started signing players like Hery, Flores, Junior and others who were seen as great ready made players is when things started going off the rails IMO. A move back to a smaller squad, signing young players like Kavanagh & Meekison and supplimenting from the academy should be a better use of wages and probably cheaper overall.

I'd just blindly assumed it would be Tolka. Any reason why it wouldn't be?

You'd imagine it would be the logical choice and the pitch is so bad playing extra games on it won't make much difference.

It's also not just the men's team that needs relocation. There's the women's team as well that adds a layer of complexity.

Where else apart from Tolka could be considered? Morton stadium seems a grim option if they have to go out there again…..

Any news on Sligo Rovers plans on how they see their redevelopment project for the Showgrounds begins and will progress?

So far I've heard, in no particular order

    - Tolka
    - Richmond Park
    - Parnell Park
    - The RDS

Each has its own obstacles as well as pros and cons.
