What would you Wicklow boys know about Dublin’s favorite crisp.

    Lol

Still send to go on it and rumours that the scheduled first game v Sligo might be put back until May. That would mean the first game would be v Dundalk.

In saying that their must have been 40+ work vans in and around the stadium this past week and even at night time work was on going with the floodlights helping.

The Southend stand is also getting a refurbishment and is definitely looking better.

There is a big Dlk crowd heading up for that game on 2nd March and a lot are staying over, definitely looking forward to it and seeing the newly opened ground.

A Derry lad at work was telling me 'the rocking chair' is a good spot pre match, any thoughts?

Work is currently happening on the Derrynane roof repair. Also some other work on the St Anne's with a new wheelchair section as well as the toilets.

Great to see continued work on TX. When I started watching LOI 20 years ago, the St. Annes end was (I think) wasn't even built. I know Stadium developments can seem to crawl at a snail's pace, but in some cases, a fair few grounds have come on a lot since those days, although obviously, a lot more work needs to be done though.

Really? No buses ran last year due to the trouble. The ground may have been upgraded but the window smashing scum remain outside I'm sure, would be surprised if the people who run buses will have forgotten that.

Good few of us staying over, first decent away trip journey wise, new ground to see, heading up early on the day, get a look around the city, lunch, few drinks, definitely looking forward to it.

Interesting to go on the first page of this thread and read what we proposed and what has happened side, nothing in many cases and never will in others, though some things have.

Word is that the Brandywell won't be opening to the public until mid-March, which would rule out the Dundalk fixture there as well as the Sligo one. And possibly even their Limerick game too.

Any idea whether the games would be postponed or reversed (as in played in The Showgies or Oriel).

Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Asking for a reversal of fixtures, we believe.
Absolutely no information from the club about this yet. It took a FoI request to the council to find out. Ridiculous.

This doesn't sound too good, what are the chances that work can be completed in time by end of this month, or does there have to be a safety cert issued after all inspections take place and over a certain period?

I can't see Dundalk agreeing to switch the game on Fri 2nd March, as that will leave us with a home league match on every Friday in March, as it sits I think 3 is hard enough to sell in one month, 4 will be a huge ask especially on consecutive weeks.

Can Derry not look to use Buncrana for the first 2 or 3 games?

What's the latest with the Derrynane stand in Cork? There's talk they're going to shaft us with away ticket allocation for next week. How far along is it and what were they doing since October?

What exactly would be shafting Waterford? If Cork can sell upwards of 6,000 tickets there's no need to be handing out more than a couple hundred to Waterford.

They say everything will be ready long before the game takes place. I think the roof is going on at the moment.
As regards tickets I'm sure we can fit you in somewhere. Its not like there's going to be thousands of you coming up.
