Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Not at all. I raised a point over your digs at another club which you self masqueraded as "banter".
    You've got no fans.

Hey, when we don't have to pay a cent for it, they can take all the time in the world. Soon to have the finest stadium in the North West of course

Christ no, Brandywell, even upgraded, won't be as good as the new stadium Harps are building. It's going to be great. Very great.

Presumably you mean a custom built facility with a stand for each fan?

Limerick fc to lodge full planning application for phase one two and three of the development of the markets field within the next two weeks for the 8,100 stadium and will kick off next season in the markets field.
ALSo Limerick in talks with department of defense to purchase land to build a academy for all Limericks under age teams and 19s. Source the star with quotes from chairman.

    Unbelievable stuff from limerick

Genuine question nigel. If its taken 4 years from turning sod to foundations how long will it take to finish it at that rate?

Surely Harps fans must be worried that they will have a nice new stadium and no fans left to put in it?

Well at the moment they've a ****ty ground and no fans to put in it, so it'll still be an upgrade

Nice one Nigel, you're learning to roll with punches -- indeed I'm looking forward to a visit back to Finn Park - I love Cinzano.

Hopefully that chip van in the corner will still have a licence to trade in new stadium (seems though that letter I sent to Health Board is probably still in post) so I can get my coke for my Chinzie

I'd be a lot more worried that the club will fold before we ever get there.

Things have been incredibly slow to date- but most of that has been to good old Irish bureaucracy. Hopefully now that we're beyond most of that things will move quicker.

No costs have been given but going by the plans it won't be cheap. I'm presuming Pat and JP will be funding it but there has been no mention of any grants etc... either.

I'd be fairly worried we'll turn out the same as Athlone, lovely little stadium, nobody there to watch the games.

But I'd still prefer a nice comfortable stadium than what we're in at the minute. A lot of memories of Finn Park, grew up watching Harps there so I'll be sad to see it go, but it's old, dilapidated, and just horrible to watch a match in at the best of times.

Hopefully we'll have a more competitive team by the time it comes.

^ This. From what I hear, once the steel goes in, it's full steam ahead from there. Just waiting on the 2nd draw of grant money to come through or something of the like.

I always loved Finn Park til they put those new seats in. They bloody ruined it. So much for progress.

Made an absolute mess of the place. Can see nothing from the other side of them. Very badly placed.
