It might be burn-out, tiredness or just a dip in form, but whatever it is, he's got to be rested for a game or two at least. He's been caught out several times this season and against Pats he got absolutely roasted. Nothing against the guy, he's a talented player, but he needs a spell on the bench.

Ya , not too sure about his defending ability. Good going forward, right wing does'nt seem to suit him either. Though one. Would prefer to see Greg right back as soon as O'Grady comes back into midfield.

For f**k's sake !!!!! Carey has played very well this season. What games have ye been watching? He's made a few mistakes, but which City player hasn't ?
The few appearances of Andrews hasn't inspired great confidence and he was at fault in both Rovers goals, and yet ye want him in, because Carey had a bad one on Monday? Napier and Hoggie are big losses, but Benno Cronin and Carey have carried on quite well, it's left back that is the problem area NOT right back......

IMO Careys been playing on borrowed time for a while now. His crossing can be very poor at times & if we didn't have so few fit defenders i would say he needs a break.

I can see how Gunther likes him though cos Alan is a bit prone to the over use of the hoof down the line.

I'm just saying that he hasn't looked as good this season as he did when he first broke into the team, and a rest would do him a bit of good. Like I said, it's no criticism of the guy.
