All the rejections of his managerial talents have been getting to OŽLeary and being rejected by his country would be too much for the poor man.

Start the Bernie Slaven thread quick, so someone can come on to say that it's rubbish, as their mate's sister in law's babysitter saw Garry Waddock having a slash outside Break for the Border with John Delaney on Saturday night.
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

I'm just going to re-mortgage the house but I'll follow you down after.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

No just heard from a workmate who got word from his mate, who got word from his sister that that Brady will get it tomorrow.

Not as convuluted as some of the other stories, but worth a punt. not sure what odds he was b4 today, but i just got him at 3/1.

Venables will be the last man standing by the time of the January meeting.
The FAI will have pulled off another cute stroke by accident.
By then we will all be saying that his appointment doesn't look as bad it did in November.

Is the correct answer. Its like been stuck on a deserted island watching all the decent ships sailing past beyond the horizon. Eventually a bloke with a wooden leg, parrot perched on his shoulder and wearing an eye patch arrives in a dinghy.

but he didn't just arrive, he was anchored off the coast for weeks smiling at you, knowing full well that no matter how big your fire the bright shining ships in the distance were never going to come and save you!!! And as he pulls up to the shore you begin to make out the familiar look of the parrot. it's Andy Townsend!!

A bit off topic, but it will really be interesting to see how Keegan does with Newcastle.

If he turns them around and gets them into Europe and competing for Champions League football, what will that make all of us look like?

Apart from one or two people, we've all regarded him as a joke on here, myself included.

If you look at his history with Newcastle United he did wonders during his first stint, and football people seem to be shocked but pleasantly so with his appointment.

I just have my doubts sometimes about our football expertise- we're deadset against a La Liga winner FFS!

I know there's more to the equation than that, but the percentage of anti- Venables sentiment is a little surprising.

Again, not saying he's my first choice, but the vitriol filled posts I've read on here for the last couple of months surprised me a bit.

Keegan will be good at newcastle as he will be given bucket loads of cash to mould the team into his own. He couldn't have done so with us, where he would have relied upon his tactical nous.

As for Venables, if he wasn't a slimey b*stard lookin fora quick buck people would be more in favour of him. Perhaps.
If I question Liam Scales ability to play intl football, refer me to this signature & his peformance at home at lb vs Port on Nov 13 2025.
