I agree. But this is the FAI. And I guarantee that if Brady and Giles are appointed there will be no mention of words like International consultant. Stuff like co-managers and dream ticket will be mentioned

What about Stephen Ireland with Sir Stanley Matthews as his assistant?
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Extremely disappointing, and the natural first question is whether the FAI ever even approached the man about the position.

Lothar Matthaus being earmarked for the Bosnia job along with Niko Kranjcar's auld fella. Surely he is worth consideration on his playing pedigree alone. Has had some reasonable successes in management and is a man with a wealth of different experiences underneath him.

    What a player btw!

Agree that lothar would be worth a chance but he has to improve his english and he is still in dispute with red bull salzburg , his track record has not been good, at the first sign of trouble he is usually off!but if we want someone with pedigree then he is our man!Delaney get the finger OUT!

Lothar Matthaus is a headbanger of the Highest order who pretty much leaves a trail of destruction in his wake wherever he goes (Partizan , Hungary & RB Saltzburg shall not be issuing references. Atlético Paranaense Still want to know where he is, as, after accepting the job in January 2006, he left his office saying he'd be back in a few days. As of Today, He hasn't as yet gone back to collect the furry gonks off his desk)

I personally think he's Venables, with a slightly better pedigree and less of an annoying laugh, but Venables nonetheless.
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

Probably for the first time Paddy Powers is reflecting the true market for the Ireland job. Venables is 3/1. Brady and O'Leary 4/1. Hoddle 5/1. I can't see anyone else other than those mentioned getting the job.

I have him backed at 40/1 but can you honestly see him putting himself through this FAI/3-man process nonsense? No chance.
