Last night confirmed everything that is bad about Liam Murphy. Of course the players were tired after so many games, so why not start Jimmy mull for Georgie or something, Mucky in midfield, etc., We do have a few players on the bench, who he could have started.

What the hell was he doing bringing Deccie on to hoof it to mulligan?! Mulconroy on for Woods, and he puts him at left full where he got roasted by bleedin HARPS?! O'Flynn wide on the left while Mulligan jumps for hoofs?! The man just doesn't have a notion.

I think Rennie and Devine were the only two half-decent city players. Last night was the hammering we've been asking for all season. Our performances away have been dreadful and lucky, it was only a matter of time before we were found out.

I reckon O'Flynn may be in trouble after his anger at Billy's substitution. It's already well known that Gunther can't take advice or discussion, never mind criticism. he's quoted in the echo as saying "I think some of the lads might have believed in their own publicity a small bit" among other ridiculous things.

In my opinion, it was men against boys on Monday night. Was it just me or did Paul Osam look like he was ten foot tall.

O'Grady needs abit more time and with hindsight probably shouldn't have started (even though I hoped it would happen to allow Greg to go to left back instead of Deccie starting). In the end we weren't spared his appearance, but why wasn't Andrews on the bench instead? (Is Gunther still blooding the "young" players?)

I don't think O'Flynn was giving out to Murphy - just asking him in a raised tone of voice who would play left wing - in the end he was probably sorry he asked.

If Pat's hadn't started to time waste like they were 1-0 up away from home for the last 25 minutes, it probably would have been 6 or 7 and we wouldn't have gotten a goal back.

The standard of refereeing was it's usual below par with several hand balls on both sides going unpunished along with the time wasting by Pats (or should I be thanking him for encouraging them to waste even more time).

Roll on Longford, Shels & Derry - maybe our slump is over already.

yup he is around 6 4inches. a fantastic player, just wish he saw the light and came to turners cross.

as for us heading into a slump the longford game will tell a lot about our team and our manager. periodically city tend to go thru losing 4 out of 5 games. hope this isn't one of time but I doubt it

    Dricky

We need to keep the home wins going that let us down badly last year, build on that but we still have to be realistic we have alot more work to do and there are very few who thought that we would win the el this year, well anybody who followed CCFC for a while would anyway.

What is needed even more is getting the crowds out at the Dublin matches get the numbers up, that could be worth a goal against the jinx teams. There are plenty of Cork folk in Dublin and area they should be dragged to the matches kicking and screaming if needed how do you think $hel$ would play and rovers if there are more CCFC fans than their own.

The squad spirt seems good that my be a plus for the away matches. either that or get an Osam
    It's only just begun...............
If the last 21 years were class, here's looking forward to the next 21 years. It is our time

As much as anything on Monday, I think that it showed how much we need a creative player in midfield to replace Patsy. Its been dragging on for too long now.

Why was Deccie brought on? So Gaz could be taken off and not cost us another goal.

Why was Billy brought off and Mucky put in at LB? So we could have 4 at the back, Billy was non existant anyway so taking him off would not change anything attacking wise.

Why did Deccie hoof so much? Because our passing around the back 4 was terrible, it cost us the 1st goal.

Was there anything any manager could do? I dont really think so, this should just be filed under the "One to forget" file.

PS I thought that the City crowd was fairly good, so well done to all who travelled.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
