Is it too much to expect another fightback? I think so.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

It is difficult to read the exact implications of this result - even the top-class pros don't take too kindly to more than one match in a week, never mind 4 in 8 days - it is certainly some come down from the euphoria of last Friday. But our away form is so poor that we cannot conceivably think of winning the league - particularly with the trip to Shels looming Friday. I know we are only two points behind, but I think that a result at Shels may be imperative now, especially given Bohs victory on Friday, to just prove that we can travel - not very optimistic though.

    Arent we playing Longford?

Our defence was the worst Ive ever seen it and Gaz??? Oh my God, what a stinker he had! Im not too sure that we can blame Gunther for this one, only Devine (kind of), O'Flynn, O'Callaghan & Rennie played to the standard that you'd expect, the rest just looked too tired/not interested. Gaz and Billy were awful. The only +ve point was that Conor O'Grady made his come back. It was such a bad performance that Im just going to give ratings instead of waffeling on about how crap they were.

    Devine 6.5
    Carey 5
    Gaz 3
    Bennett 4
    Greg 5
    Billy 2
    Rennie 8
    O'Grady 6
    CTOB 6
    O'Flynn 8
    George 8

Sir Hoofalot came on and lived up to his name but seemed to have a calming presence on the back 3/4.

Jimmy the Gnome had the ball hoofed at him but worked hard.

Mucky came on and did F-all.

In general though Pats were very good, especially in midfield and supplied good balls to their attack where Gaz and Bennett were often out paced.

Gunther got it right when he said "Some players just expected it to happen on the pitch & thats just not good enough"
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
