Big question is: Friday night or Sunday noon!!!!
Cork home to Derry
Big question is: Friday night or Sunday noon!!!!
Someone said to me that if the draw turned out like this the FAI would look to have a double header at Lansdowne Road.
I doubt this will happen though as Cork City would be foolish and unlikely to relinquish their home advantage.
Have Boot Disk, will travel
The First home draw we haave gotten so far, it would be mad to give it up.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
That's funny because I heard the Landsdowne Road story also.
Surely the FAI can't change the rules in mid season?????
City would be crazy to go for this. With the crowds we are likely to get following Friday's game they ( FAI ) would be better off moving both games o Turners Cross.
Great draw though. We should take them at the first attempt.
Surely City will try and get the game for a Friday night.
I think they will be in their rights to too as I believe the ruling that they have to accomodate Derry only applies in the league.
And earlier this season Derry made Waterford travel up on a Thursday night for an FAI Cup tie.
So they can't complain either.
We should take every advantage we get.
Des Cahill said on Morning Ireland that City v Derry game would be on the Friday night all-ticket??
this double header couldn't happen . Could you imagine bohs fans rovers fans city fans and derry fans all going to and from the ground peacefully? i doubt it
soccer isn't a matter of life or death its more important than that!!!
Pretty much all fai cup games are all tickets of some sort so they can divide the gate receipts afterwards.
I hear suggestions city don't want to play on the sunday cos of some local stick ball game? Other suggestions is cos of tv or gardai don't want other game on at night... Heard elsewhere RTE have no plans to show the game yet.....
that the cork v derry match is on the friday night (because of some county final?)
and that the rovers v bohs match is on the sunday. the dublin crowd are giving out because this clashs with an old firm game live on the bbc all over the uk and there are other big games on sky from england.
city V derry - the friday night, with a replay if necessary the following sat/sun..
