Top scorer ever in First Division

Philly Hughes with us curently leads the charts with 16 in the league this season, acutally 2 more than Jason Byrne on 14, but we go there re Prem v First.

Anyway as Hughes is on target to beat our highest ever scorer in First Div and still a club record of 20 (Martin Reilly 2000/01) Does anyone know what the all time First Div record is ?

Jonathan Speake, Derry mid 80`s ??? I seem to recall him getting a huge total and over 27 games which would be more impressive ?

    Anyone help out ?

    McHugh

Kevin McHugh scored 24 First Division goals for Finn Harps in 2001-02 season and 22 First Division goals in the 2004 season.

He also scored a further 3 goals in the Promotion/Relegation Play-offs in 2001-02 which could be classed as First Division goals.

Andy Myler scored 27 First Division goals in 2000-01 and a further 2 in the play-offs that season. Myler holds the First Division record.

Hughes still has a bit of scoring to do to beat both McHugh and Myler.
