wait a sec! never mind that.
its official.
Kieran Foley has left Galway United and signed for Dublin club St. Patrick's Athletic. The Galway native who joined the club at the start of the 99-00 season after having guided NUI Galway to Collinwood Cup success made a total of 46 appearances for the club, scoring 5 goals.
Foley who was involved in a near-fatal accident on holiday in Crete last summer missed a majority of last season due to the injuries sustained will be best remembered for the hat-trick he scored against Bohemians in Dalymount Park in December '99.
Although he was unable to play last season he was still actively involved and was one of the main people behind the fundraising match with the Galway GAA team.
Another player who may be "officially" on the way out of the club is Eric Lavine, the Barbados striker seems set to join Longford Town, ironically the place in which his bust-up with Don O'Riordan occured.
