    Kildare V Dundalk

Game is at 3 o clock now but does any one else think that the game should be on a Friday night or Sunday?

Our last games on the days of international matches have had very small attendances, notto mention it is our international team playing.

Games will never be played on a sunday because of the links to the junior league

i actually think that it might be interesting to see what sort of a crowd there is on a saturday afternoon. I know a lot of people work on sat afternoons but saturday nights just aren't working, people won't leave the pubs to watch games.

The advertising for games is very poor though and i don't think that there will be a significant improvement on crowds until the club pays more attention to marketing. The likes of shels and pat's all spend time and money advertising games so why don't we? Everybody complains about the poor crowds but can you name one thing that the club has done in an effort to improve them. At the start of every season, there are talks about at the start of every season of going to the schools with free tickets but nothing is ever done.

Especially now that the likes of philly gorman, trevor bowers, john flynn and paddy mahon are coming through. The club should trying to tap into the towns that these lads come from.

The cobh game only attracted around 75 apparently I wasn't there myself so I am not sure if that is true and England were playing that day even though notice given about the change of KO was ridicously late.

I'm afraid the same will happen saturday hope it doesn't.

Would love to see how games on a friday night with a 8 o' clock KO work out.

Have only ever seen one poster for a game and that was on the gate at station road! and it looked terrible.
Have never seen an advert in the leinster leader can talk about the rest.

So would agree totally the club doesn't do enough to highlight the home games, which is going to make it next to impossible to attract potential fans unless they are going to check out the website and that doesn't even do a preview for coming matches.

Its like they depend on word of mouth and that simply isn't good enough!.

Would love to see some bright promotional ideas coming from station road.

I was at the cobh game and the crowd was fairly pathetic alright but if i remember correctly the kick off time was only changed in the week before the game. That's another thing, everybody knows the international fixtures for months before the eircom league, why are the kick off times always changed so late???

Since the club has started, they have had 3 commercial managers as far as i know so they felt that there was the need for one at some stage so i don't really know why we don't have one now. The club used to have golf classics and different things like but as far as i know, the monthly is the only fundraiser that is run now.

In my opinion, the biggest thing holding the club back right now is a lack of marketing. The fans are out there but the club has got to try to attract them.

It would definitely be worth trying out a fri evening 8pm kick off, it won't make the crowds any smaller, that is for sure!!!

I'm sure that it will, it would be very stupid not to show it.

If not, there are whole load of pubs in the town which is a 1 minute drive away

I know this might be a bit late but you could try e-mailing the club at info@kildarecountyfc.com.

Thought we deserved draw, put them under a bit of pressure in the last 10 mins.

We conceded three soft goals. Cooling hit a peach of a free kick though. Kennedy was badly caught out for the 3rd.
