    3-2

    Oh here we go again - or so I thought - mad busy at work so barely had time to check the score - felt right sick at when I refreshed for 2-0 down. Typical I said - massive crowd, delayed kick-off, Bohs beating Shels at Tolka and we pick that precise moment to fu(k it up. By the time I got a chance to check the score again, I was awaiting the worst - I couldn't believe what I saw. 3-2, yes 3-2 with a little "RES" tag onto the end. Furthermore Billy got two. Absolutely thrilled - yet a bit ****ed off that I missed another great occasion under the TC lights. Teams and report asap please.

    Team

    Devine
    Carey Cronin Bennett Andrews
    Colin Rennie Greg Woods
    O'Flynn George

    Mulligan for Andrews a few seconds after Andrews f**ked up for goal #2 ( in fairness, like Mulconroy, he's no left back)

    Woods lost possession for #1, but obviously made up for it.

    Attendance = 8,000???

    oh what a night

    my ears are sore from all the shouting and roaring. the crowd was huge, the X was filled to capacity with people standing behind the seating. first half was ok with no real set pattern emerging. rovers scored first in thhe 35th minute through reddy. city had a number of chances to clear with a lot of bodies in the area. rovers scored almost immediately again in the second half. their Number 10 (was he Luke Dimech their maltese international ?) got the ball and ran with it without being tackled to the side of the box and passed/crossed to HUnt to score in the 48th minute to score into the shed end. it took cork about 10 minutes to reply with woods scoring in the 57 and 65 minutes with a shot and header repectively. mulligan put us in front in the 66 minute with a well taken goal in the 66 minute. from then on we were hanging on a bit. the ref signaled for about two minutes of extra time. after about 1 and a half minutes the ball went out of play and he blew for another ball. he made a signal like time up but all he wanted was another ball. a lot of people though he blew for full time and promptly invaded the pitch!! after a about a minute the crowd was cleared and the remaining extra time was played. EVEN GUNTHER GOT EXCITED.

    Billy's second was as good as I've seen at the Cross. Reynold's hit a fantastic crossfield pass with the outside of his foot to Colin T, who turned the full-back inside out before crossing left footed for Billy to glance homee.

    What a fantastic 20min spell , go 2 down just after the break, fight back with 3 goals, the 2nd one was outstanding, and the Jackeen B**tards are heading back to the pale emptyhanded. Massive crowd electric atmosphere.
    Murphys going to have to sort out LB position, Greg there with George in midfield, Jimmy and JOF upfront???
