Yesterday morning I heard a competition on GBFM to give away 10 free tickets for the Shamrock Rovers game. It gave me the idea that it might be a good thing to do for all next season’s home games, run a radio competition to give away 10 free entries to the game.
GBFM love this kind of thing so I expect they’d be up for it. It could run from Sunday to Thursday, having 2 winners everyday. Start it every morning with the first sports news, ask a question or whatever, repeat it at every sports bulletin, take entries during the day and pick the winners after 6pm, or even later. Someone might even sponsor it. They’d get a lot of of airtime over the five days.
It could bring some people to games who’ve never been before. They could bring someone with them. They could come again. They could become regulars. Some people who don’t come, could start entering every day, never win, get into a mind frame to come, and come anyway. We could pick up some new supporters through it.
that sounds like a really good idea. i'm sure they could get someone to sponsor it as they'd get some good publicity.
Homer: I'm gonna make sure these deliveries are made on time.
Bart: Let me come with you
Homer: Dont you have school!
Bart: Dont you have work!
Homer: Ah Touche!
