Any home draw would be good. I reckon City can beat anyone at the Cross. Rovers or Derry at the Cross for me.
Derry away wouldn't be nice and since everyone has said so, we'll probably end up up there!

The crowd is not really going to be a problem unless Rovers make it to the final. Bohs have been in the last two finals and have brought plenty fans.
I just think that Cork and Derry could make it to the final and the publicity and hype would be regionalised. Most of the rest of the country could be oblivious to the fixture.
Like it or not Dublin is the epicentre of Ireland and unless something features them, it’s unimportant. With “Summer Soccer” being in its infancy publicity is all-important. We need to have “big clubs” in Europe next season if we’re to remedy the ills of this summers European outings.

    "brought plenty fans" !

brought (in Dublin) = step out yer front door = 5,000 fans
brought (in Cork) = 200 miles on a bus or train = 10,000 fans

"We need to have “big clubs” in Europe next season "
    - that is why Cork City or Derry City would be the best choice. Their grounds would be full a European tie.

Dublin is the epicentre of Ireland

And where in your fantasy is this game played where Cork City FC are allocated 10,000 tickets?
If you think the final is going to be anywhere other than Tolka Park or Dalymount Park then you will have to invest in a jar of Nescafe and proceed to sniff it!
Bohemian FC sold their allocated tickets for each final, what else can a club do?
You're fooling yourself if you think Derry will bring more than 5,000 down to Dublin. Derry are clearly off the pace in the league this season and are a few seasons away from being a "big club".
    As for Rovers?
Well we all know that they're not up to much...

After last nights performance, it would be great to get Rovers at home, they wouldn't relish a return trip to the X, it would be a sell out.

I think he was referring to the 98 cup final when City brought 10000 fans, that was when Dalymount was almost all terracing.
I think that City could bring a similar amount this time and the only other club that would bring anywhere near that is Derry. There is no interest in Dublin, 2 weeks ago when we played Bohs in a top of the table clash in Dalyer there was a maximum of 3000. Bohs dont have the following, id say they would be lucky to get more than 4500 fans at the cup final.
A clash of the two Citys in the cup final would generate the most interest.

Oh you mean 5,000 City fans at the drawn game and 5,000 City fans at the replay?
Having been at both games I can't say that I recall 10,000 City fans being at either. Time does have a funny effect of the mind though!
We have a sem-final to play, lets get through that before we worry ourselves with the final.

I think there was about 10000 at the first game and about 7000 at the second but I could be wrong.

Yeah I was at both games too and I reckon there was close to 10,000 city fans at both. We well outnumbered the Shels fans anyway. Dalo held about 15k in those days of which 10k were city fans on both occasions.
The glass isn't half full or half empty it's just too damn big!

We almost filled the "Shopping Centre" end and we had a good few hundred in the Connaught St side.
It's hard to tell how many City supporters were in the stand.
It was the old wooden "Firetrap" in those days.
I still doubt there was more than 10,000 in total at the game.
That was four and a bit years ago and I was too busy to count the heads.

10K & 6.5K seem about right. The Cork crowd was big not not huge.

PS Cup draw is tonight at 6.30

Ah, I'm sure you were too busy standing there in Dalyer dreaming of your beloved bohs to count us boggers
