    Well our Child Protection Officer is also the head co-ordinator of our Youth Set up so he works closely with all the managers and is an ear for parents and children if they have any problems....he was also the nice big guard that protected Rory O'Handsoffourhospital the other day....god I gave him some slagging!     Not sure whether its law or not but definitely recommended.A booklet should be issued by the Committee of each Club to all Coaches of kids teams to point out best practices where kids are involved .

    Yes, it is required by law. Similar to Bald Student, when in college, one of the clubs I was involved with had to appoint a child protection officer if we had any 17 year old members.
