Who are the physical players you would like to see in the panel.
Who are the physical players you would like to see in the panel.
I can see what you are saying but I dont agree with you. I'm sure it is slightly more physical at OT level but I think there are 3/4 players in the squad who can mix it and that is enough.
I think adding any more players just cos they can "put the boot in" would weaken the squad, not improve it.
Just my opinion.
Hacker,
The way you put it you are making it out that someone has been hard done by. I think you , better than most, should understand the full story here.
Before anyone asks , no I will not be elaborating on the situation.
i looks tough on player ... but as far as i know can oscar traynor manager name a new squad for every match or add players if he wants to / or has he to stick to they same 20 players ...
same thing happens at local clubs players may play 2-3 games not miss training and their manager could still drop them
does it not make sense to have friendlies on same nights as players would normally train.. i know i would prefer it that way..
i would agree on last point if you cant / wont train with oscar traynor no matter how good you are you should not get a game at the expense of somebody how has been training![]()

If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

As I have said there will not be a full story on this thread. At least not from me.! Rather than sending a PM to Hacker I just wanted him to know that there are others that know the full story. Having people posting their view of the matter and asking people what they think without the full facts is bull****. I have no time for people that take their blinkered view of the matter into an open forum questioning the integrity of a man's decision without the other side of the story been known.

I will not PM you, if you don't know the story then I will not be feeding you the information. Also if you bothered to read my post properly you would notice that I never mentioned your club being a shambles. It was you that referred to the Oscar Traynor set-up being a shambles.Your post was to try and get a reaction from the people who post on this thread, you have now got it so suck it up and move on.![]()
If Manager drops a player thats the managers choice, right!!!
If manager has a scout "HK" that turns up to training and gives a few orders, isn't that up to the manager whether he wants the scout "HK" to get involved
or not!!!!
Hacker i know it seems that you are having a hard time here but Eddie Corry is Oscar Traynor Boss and what he say's goes even if people like it or not....
Look at Steven Staunton.![]()

Young Lad , if you are looking for a reaction I am sorry you are not going to get one. I was responding to Hackers post and making it clear that there are 2 sides to this. . Feel free to give your opinion on the matter. Mine would be that the lad was treated badly if I was to go with the information on Hackers post alone. As far as I am concerned the matter is over
Have a nice evening![]()
[QUOTE=hacker;576308]why dont ya turn around and ask him why he was dropped he's rite beside you..

you are only a loser when you stop trying. Playing sport does not build character, it reveals it.
a great result for the OTs. Anyone got a match report? i missed the game as wasnt around the weekend. Heard from a source that one of the Clare goals was a cracker....
Also heard last game vs Limerick is set for January, that true?
Jocks goal an absolute cracker allright.
Terrible conditions almost impossible to play good football. Small but very wet crowd. Definitely a game of 2 halves.
Clare played against the gale force wind in 1st half and were under huge pressure for most of it despite this skinny didnt have a decent save to make . Defence did very well Rochford outstanding during this half and skinny did well under some high balls. Munster had most of the pressure but Clare had one decent chance put wide by o'brien from mountshannon. Munster had one great move and would have scored but for a great tackle by Rochford before HT. Clare didnt play much football but defended very well in terrible conditions.
2nd half played in munster half defence. Donnellan did well when he came on and Jocks was clares best player in 2nd half - scored a cracker. Derek Byrne got forward well to score with a deflection. Sloppy goal conceded late but Clare should have scored more. Donnellan put a great chance wide and several more went close. Conditions prevented great flowing football. Clares great battling in the first half proved to be the winning of the game in the end.
My player ratings
Skinny 8, Byrne 8, Left full (dont know his name sorry) 7, Rochford 9, OMalley 7, Jocks 9, Hoey 7, Daly 7, Downes 7, Maxwell 6, OBrien 6. Donnellan 8, Carmody 6.
