Sorry didn't make myself clear, I meant it may attract people to future games.

Sounded like a good atmosphere and looked like a good crowd at the game as well

Id say the Shels Derry crowd would have being doing well to break 2,500 ??

Derry didnt have half as many as Id expected. They still had decent support and better than most but it wasnt the crowd I would have expected for a 1v2 with 8 games left..

The singing crowd moved from the New Stand to the Main Stand which is probably why it sounded better...
    John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

I was in Tolka and thought it was an intriguing game until Jennings' harsh red card. Derry were excellent up until then, showing great shape and total commitment, although McCallion was wobbly at the back and McCourt was anonymous except for his goal, which resulted from Shels' defence being asleep. The second Derry goal was a case of class meets opportunism.
Shels were all over the shop in the second half (playing a very loose 3-4-3 that was more a 3-1-6), which probably helped them as Derry play a zonal game, with the focus on eliminating opportunity and constricting space rather than marking players. Bugger-all use in a scramble. A good offside trap IMO would've resulted in a comfortable (and crucial) away win.
But for sheer entertainment it was a great night almost ruined by the ref. Surely we have a product worthy of support.
