    Question Quiz on the Laws of the Games (Round 4)

    Fourth Round, have a go and I will PM you your result:

    Will I issue a table of peoples scores? its up to you

    11. A player taking a throw in, throws the ball directly into the opponents goal, as he threw the ball the referee notices that the whole of his foot is on the pitch.

    What does the referee give:
    a) a goal;
    b) a goal-kick;
    c) retake the throw;
    d) a throw in to the opposition.

    12. The match is about to begin and the blue team is kick-off, the referee blows the whistle to start the match, the centre forward for the blue team kicks the ball directly into the opposition goal

    What does the game restart:
    a) retake the kick-off for the blue team;
    b) Kick-off for the opposition as it is a goal;
    c) Goal kick as you can’t score from a kick-off;
    d) In-direct free kick for the opposition as you can’t score from a kick-off.

    13. Centre forward for the Blue team is standing in an offside position. The goal-keeper for the Blue team takes a goal-kick and it goes directly to the centre forward. The centre forward takes a shot and scores.

    What does the referee give:
    a) a goal;
    b) Indirect free kick for offside;
    c) retake the goal kick;
    d) Indirect free kick for offside and caution the centre forward for kicking the ball away.

    1 - d) It's a foul throw, so anything afterwards is irrelevant.
    2 - c) Goal kick as you can't score direct from tip. Same ruling as "scoring" direct from a throw.
    3 - dman's question is vital. If it's the opposing keeper, it's a goal as the ball was played by an opposition player. If it's the player's own keeper, it's offside and an indirect free out.

    11 = A ( Foul Throw is the offence).
    12 = B ( Goal ).
    13 = B ( Offside, you would not have stated that the Blue Centre Forward was in an Offside Position, if he wasn't) (logic)?????

    1. Foul throw. Punish the first offence

    2. Goal - you can score directly from kick off

    3. Goal - (states clearly the keeper from the blues is taking the goal kick)you cannot be offside from a goal kick (as opposed to the keeper kicking the ball from his hands!!). Also Stu you cannot be offside from a corner, a throw in, a back pass and inside your own half.

    Now I hope I do not see any posts from you about referees as you clearly do not know the basic laws of the game!!

    The original post was edited, it obviously didn't specify which 'keeper originally.

    I will post a results table on Friday

    Only for fun - Only those who participated in 2 or more rounds will be included

    Scores will be in % format

    Those who score less than 60% will be positioned but will not have their percentage shown!

    Is this ok with everyone?
