    Bolands Mill

Does anyone here know the nearest EL ground to Bolands Mill? UCD or St.Pats?

UCD its in whats now known as Dun Laoghaire.

But then again looking at map, its close by finger measurement would go with UCD by a skin.

Would Dalymount or Tolka not be closer than Belfield or Inchicore?

    Edit:
Just checked distances on the AA route planner to Shelbourne Park (the AA have never heard of Bolands Mill so it was the nearest I could think of):
    From Tolka: 3.1 miles
    From Dalymount: 2.6 miles
    From Richmond: 4.4. miles
From Mount Merrion (nearest I could find to UCD): 4.4 miles

Good question for a pub quiz!

UCD's a good five or six miles from Dún Laoghaire. It's not really in anywhere - nearest place would be Stillorgan. Postal address is Belfield, I think.

Like Gertrude Stein's description of LA -'there's no 'there' there'

You what? Bolands Mill is on Ringsend Road, at the edge of D4. I live right beside it!

That's the thing about real dubs - they never know where anywhere is.

    Too true!
Though I do know that UCD is not in Dún Laoghaire and that Boland's mill, unlike Shels and Shams, remains in Ringsend.
