Hmm, now that the Bertie bowl looks like going the way of the millenium clock, how about getting Mickey Martin and all the other useless f*ckers from Cork in FF to get Bertie to buy that big area between the back of the railway station and the quays, and build a nice little 25K seater there, with City as the anchor tenants ???....

Good to see that they have realistic rules!
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

    NOW THATS A GOOD IDEA!

let the mfa sell turners cross for housing and the mfa and cork city jointly develope that site (which is near the city centre) as a nice medium sized stadium.

I hope ye don't expect Bertie to spend money on something that isn't in Dublin, do ye? Just look at the joint Scotland-Dublin bid for Euro 2008. Where are both Irish venues located? They want to redevelop Lansdowne Road as the second venue along with the National Stadium instead of building something in Cork or wherever. That should tell ye something about the mentality of Dublin Ahern. Not that this is either here nor there, since I'd say you're suggestion was more aspirational than realistic.

They've obviously not been to Whitehall then!

That ground wouldn't even be fit for Local League football back in England!
