I'd say its crap to be honest, but it's always nice to have players linked to good clubs, means they're doing well.

On that note has anyone seen Doyle play? What's his overall performance like?

He runs like a white Micheal Johnson!!!... Good alround player. Works hard. Uses the ball well. Decent in the air. He's never gonna turn a defender inside out though.

Has to contend with the difficult second season in the premiership now. Would like to see him and Robbie keane get more pitch time together. Hopefully they'll both do the summer Friendlies!!

Quite frankly, I'd be worried if Doyle went to Arsenal, the amount of players that have come through the youths/reserves there and gone on to be regulars in the first team is woeful, while players that have been brought in have become mainstays.
Just off the top of my head Stack, Cregg, O'Donnell, Bentley, Stokes, Barrett, Owusu-Abeyie, Volz, Upson, Sidwell, Bothroyd all got sold off despite being highly rated at Arsenal, or left because they couldn't force their way into the (admittedly outstanding) starting XI.
Doyle is doing well at Birmingham and has become first choice keeper despite his age, and IMO would be better off staying there and playing rather than moving and rotting on the bench or in the reserves

Wrong Doyle - Colin Doyle of Birmingham is the Doyle linked with Arsenal

He has been doing very well for them alright, i remember when he was on loan at forest at he had ability then. Great to see our players being linked with top clubs, and it bodes well for Given's eventual retirement.

Kevin Doyle scores two goals in the last five minutes and Stephen Hunt scores in stoppage time to come back from 1-0 down against Bolton.

Played on against Watford, despite breaking his nose! Not quite Bert Trautmann, but impressive nonetheless!

just after reading quotes there on my phone on three mobile regarding colin doyle. Bruce say's he wouldn't stand in his way but would want Muamba and Bendtner in a swap deal...

I think that was a tongue in cheek remark as he knows those two are highly regarded by Wenger. By all accounts Doyle was superb against Wolves today, a 90th min penalty save putting the icing on the cake. I rate Maik Taylor so Doyle deserves great credit for keeping him out of the team and given how important each game is for Brum at the moment this is really good big game experience for him.

Colin Doyle had a fantastic game aginst Wolves today. On this performance, he is the outstanding candidate to become Shay Givens successor. This could happen a lot sooner than most people, myself included, anticipated. Best young keeper I have seen in a long time.

I was watching the game too, Doyle really kept Birmingham in the game in the first half before they went ahead. A stunning point blank save from Keogh was the highlight, and Wolves must have gone in wondering how they were not ahead.
What was worrying was it was 2 similar goals that put Wolves ahead, crosses to the far post met by an on-rushing player to score.
I had a feeling he was going to save the penalty before it was struck, just something about his body language, the way he stood on the line, even if it was a poor penalty.
