Ya playing in 1b this year. Don't think there's too many others here though. I hear ye're crowd look like strong promotion candidates.

yeah got a great start have game at weekend against fairview, if we can take three points there we join Dromore at top of league. were missing a lot of players at start of season due to GAA just got them back this week so squad bit stronger now. How's your season going????

i dont play 1B lads but follow all soccer, holycross big improvement this year, just about stayed up last year didnt ye holycrossjock. from what i hear around the city, fairview B gave walkover last weekend and are struggling big time, lost a lot of players this year cos of management there and way club treated them, so 3 points there shouldnt be a problem if ye have improved.

Played Fairview early in the season and they only had eleven and I see they've lost more since then. Its a pity. They always tried to play football which is unusual in the division.

What did ye make of Dromore jock? Saw they beat ye but heard ye were unlucky.

A lot of teams will be strong for the winter when they have their full complement of GAA players back.

    thanks Kalyani

    we have improved,

its been great feeling in the club from trying to stay up last year to actually think about winning the league. We have brought in couple of good players but best signing was our keeper he makes a great difference to our defence and you can tell by the stats so far 6 games 2 goals conceded our defence is solid. one of the goals was a first class free kick from a guy called NINETY from knockainey best free kick taker i've seen.

tip for teams if you play knockainey do not give away free kick outside the box on the left hand side your just asking for trouble.....

Dromore are very solid at the back, we gave them to much room in the midfield but they never done much up front. they had couple of half chances but they scored from very bad mistake from my fellow centre half got caught with ball in penalty box last man...should have kick it to touch but we will learn and improve... there keeper made couple of great saves he looks solid adn hit the bar twice...

overall a draw would have been fair result but dromore took the chance and got the 3 points so can't argue with that...

from what i heard dromore arent great at all but there never say die attitude gets them the points, 2 down at half time to prospect last week but came back and drew 2 all, still dont have the quality to go up i think though. yes awful pity about fairview, had 3 very good juniors teams up till 2 years ago, now they cant get 1 good junior team to take the field.

and i agree they were always a team to try and play football

St Pats good side but didn't seem to have a presence up front when we played them, need strong lad up front to hold the ball. would have been tense finish but lucky for us St Pats didn't convert penalty in second half.

But i do agree Old Keeper St Pats are a team to watch

Well funny enough they are hot and cold from the start. There are only 2 or 3 GAA lads and the squad is not built around them so I think it is a matter of just clicking really. There is a very large pool of players in the club at the moment with A B and C teams so the GAA influence is slowly but surely dwindling away.

Shels A are starting to get a run of results after a poor start. Totally different team from last year, only John Price has stayed. They are still training hard and are very fit.
