Anyone in Bandit Country P*ssed off?

With the regular furore on here about Irish people investing in British soccer what about a rumoured Dundalk consortium investing in Shels?

Not quite, Shels have been associated with a Dundalk man (but dub based)called Donnelly (Fruit importers) for decades now, and invested heavily into shels as he was close to ollie byrne.

The Donnelly in question died some time ago and I think his family are now going back for more. the obvious question was often asked by dlk fans why didnt he/or his family invest in his home town team, and the answer given ??????

they were never asked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Tony Donnelly sadly passed away several years ago, but his family remained close to the club. His wife in particular stayed involved with the club, up to this day, as the clubs President.

How would a consortium get at Tolka by going through Shels, if Tolka's already gone?

Are Dundalk actively seeking out investors? Were people in Dundalk aware of this guy and the possiblity of him investing in Irish Football?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
