Belgrove Goalkeeper scored from just outside his 18 yard box with a long punt ..Casement keeper left redfaced

long punt!!, long punt!!! it was a free kick, i told you obwon i picked my spot and put it there FACT. i did it again last night in training. thats me and you on the same goals this season. i reckon i'll finish with the higher tally come the end.
thought casements big centre forward put himself about well and the 10 dropped off but they had nothing down the flanks to give these guys any service. at the end of the day our bit extra came thru. next round will be tough but i would love to put one over bangor.

meant it all the way. i'll fill you in...... started watching casement in the warm up i noticed how far the casement keeper was standing off his line in the warm up. when the game started i scoped him doing it again. he isnt doing anything wrong but with the breeze behind me i knew i would have a chance with kick i have. free kick given i looked up he was about 18yards out i said what the hell i'll put it in on top of him or try get it over him. whaaaaackkk centre half misses it and cos his positioning is bad from the initial kick he can never recover. sometimes my young padwon there is science in madness.

0-0 Mount v St Mochta's. Horrible conditions, terrible pitch, Mount just couldn't bag one, under no pressure at the back at all.

Don't know when replay will be.

Only real chance of the game fell to Mochta's, Rockmount settled first and won a few corners but never really threatened.

Mochta's got into stride but were too defensive minded revert to 532 at times giving the space to the visitors.

Poor game overall and Rockmont with an extra man for last 15 didn't take advantage.

Earlier Cherry Orchard accounted for Dublin Bus 2-0

Mayfield had a great 1-0 win against Glebe North and will play the holders in the next round, should be a cracker.

OK, amazing how view's differ eh. Saw it completely different.

What about Mount pen claim in last few mins that ref said he got wrong after the game?

Tough game indeed for Dale, need to be on their game for that one.

Saw what completely different? Did 'Mount have any direct shot(s) on goal?

As for the nonsense of a penalty claim -it wasn't even a foul. The player dived and the alleged offender was smart enough to not even try and attempt a tackle. Plus it was outside the area. I was within five yards of the incident and am a neutral and watching with a very experienced ref and immediately we both commended the ref in getting it right.

I'd be exceptionally surprised if the ref said he erred.

As for the claim of a poor pitch, yes it was soft but it held up and didn't stop either side from playing it on the ground.

Yeah, he said it to me at the end he felt he had got it wrong. No harm done.

We're used to better surfaces in Cork, but of course there is nothing anyone can do about the weather.

I was quite happy with the chances created, on another day we'd have killed one or two of them, Beech's header and Cliffy's chance alone would regularly go in, but there ya go. Their keeper had 3/4 saves to make as well.

4-2 on pens actually. Mount pounded the life out of Mochta's who unbelievably held on to win in the lottery that is pens, hat's off to them for 2 gutsy display's. Well done to their hardy bunch of support who joined them today. Nice bunch to be honest, on both days.

Best of luck to them in the next round.
