good news about the revenue.
I am a little confused by the Tolka Park situation. Are they moving or staying?

Don't seem to be able to copy and paste. Says they've settled their latest debt with the revenue. Also says they've secured the Donnelly family's interested in Tolka. What exactly does that mean? Would he have had to have paid for that?
good news about the revenue.

SO they have scrambled together enough cash to make one scheduled payment and there's no winding up order in place.....until they miss the next one in a few months time. Break out the champagne and Ferrero Rocher!
IN terms of securing the Donelly family interest in Tolka, I suspect some of the lease payment was due to them and not Shels. "Sorting this out" has probably allowed Shels to vacate Tolka as soon as possible and move out to the footballing mecca of Santry, or "securing Shels future" as Ollie refers to it as.
At least Comical Ali had the decency to wear a uniform........
So would securing their interest mean something like agreed what percentage cut the Donnelly family will get from the sale of the lease or would it mean they've bought out their interest and can now go forward and complete a deal?![]()
By the way he is rubbing his fingers in the picture in the link I would say yes.
But who knows. He has a way with words Ollie.
Or else an act of benevolence on behalf of the Donnellys and they have ceded their interest for free?Typical ambiguous smoke and mirrors rubbish from Shels that doesn't appear to say anything concrete.
What were the Donnelly interests? What is this pathway for the future? Where did the 104k come from and is the money there to keep paying the players?Statement from Ollie Byrne, Chief Executive
by Frank Young
Ollie Byrne, Chief Executive of Shelbourne FC has issued the following statement.
“Following clarification of the issues raised by the club at the recent court case and the payment of €104,000 euro, we have received a letter from the solicitors acting for Revenue, stating that the winding-up order on the club is being withdrawn.
We would also like to report that we have secured the Donnelly family interests in Tolka Park, which secures the pathway for the future of the club.
Having the winding-up order withdrawn and securing the Donnelly interest in Tolka Park, while it lifts some weight from our shoulders, does not get over the financial difficulties of the club. In order to secure the future and ongoing success of the club, it is imperative that all true supporters come to all the games and not be selective in the games they attend.
It’s time for all Shelbourne people to get behind Pat Fenlon and the team and show them that we appreciate all their efforts in the past few troublesome months.”
More questions than answers come from this statement- can any Shels fans enlighten us?
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
I think even Higgins is starting to lose patience with the hierarchy at Shels now.
Always look on the bright side of life
I remain very furstrated, correct ....
Ollie does things the hard way.
Why he goes about them that way is his own business but I dont see the logic most of the time.
John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

I actually seen the bat computer in Tolka last time I was there. Apparently Ollie bought it so he could find out were the players hid the figrolls. Turned out to have another, more baffling use
This is unexpected. I expected paying off the Revenue to cost them part of their interest in Tolka.
