Question Fans in the Pale ?

At present I find myself exiled in the Pale. Any other City fans in the same situation and planning to go to the crucial games up here next week and meeting up before hand ?

A few of us are travelling up for the game. Where in the ground will the City fans be?

Fot the Pats game (assuming still on) will be in McDowells pub just outside beforehand.

For Bohs game Doyles usually the pub of choice.

btw what do people think of city fans going to the terrace seats opposite the stand rather than the usual block A in the main stand. Considering shoukd be a decnet city crowd might make for better atmosphere?

Yeah, good idea I think to have a seperate area for City fans. The main thing though is that all the City fans should try and sit in the same area.

I think as long as all the city fans congregate in the same spot it doesnt really matter what part of the ground.

    Yup.

I know most pale based fans would probably automatically go to section A or B in the stand but i was just suggesting the opposite side be an idea if its dry & good bit of city support around. Seems like be good spots for the big flags too...

Was at the League Cup semi-final last season between Bohs and Derry. About 20 Derry fans stood together in the afore mentioned Block A and out singing the home fans all night. Is possible.

They usually don't open the other terrace unless there is a big crowd so City fans might not have a choice.

Was that the league match you were thinking of Niamh that was on at night or was that the one that was on telle during the day? On the night one there were about 30+ Derry fans with 1 drum that went mental for the whole match and made the Bohz fans sound like nuns! I wont be at the match, but Id recomend Seation A as the roof helps amplify the noise and direct it towards the pitch. Its also right next to where the teams come out. About 30 fans in the covered stand would out-sing about 100 on the uncovered one Id say.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

yea was at the opening league match of the season last year between derry and bohs and i'd say the 30 odd derry fans totally outsang the few thousand bohs fans, and whats more the derry fans kept up the singing and drumming and everything for the 90mins (+ stoppage time ). had a bloody headache leaving the ground afterwards

The Connaught St. Terrace at Dalyer is only opened when they play the other big 3 from Dublin, as these are the only sides that bring a half decent crowd with them to Dalyer.
At Inchicore, City fans seem to congregate in the corner of the main stand, but I think the terrace opposite would be better. Well, that's where I go anyway.

I think that the corner is better. Remember when we beet Rovers there 3-1 last season? Magic, we totally out sang them It was better for the match that we lost 3-2 to Pats aswell, as long as the flare waving scumbags arent let in
