He was refering to the "goal" that was two yards from the line.

So Bohs have now had a goal that well crossed the line not given and a goal that didn't come close to the line awarded against them?

    Got any footage?

Of which? The Bray one that crossed the line not given is on the official website. The other one was shown on TG4 so its not on the web. There was a photo posted from Irishfootball online of where the ball was when the "goal" was given.

Saw the "goal" last night on EL Weeky. In-friggin-credible decision.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Available here also, not great quality though.

O'Brien was stationed in front of his near post, the ball deflects off his thigh and rolls forwards. Compulsory physics/geometry lessons for all officials?

Slightly off topic, but here's what Digger may have done to the linesman if he was twice as big:

There is no hope of this Harristown ground getting planning permission. youo must remember the land is right beside Dublin Airport, and the combination of long balls and low flying aircraft would be a recipe for disaster

Ive played in Dalymount and the pitch has a very deceptive sloping - bang in the middle of that goalmouth - the groundstaff have never been able to rectify this (never noticed it at all til I was on the pitch itself)

its the only possible explanation - but you're into the eye tricking the mind territory (not as far fetched as you may first think)

That's what Oso was trying to say on ELW last night. Personally I'd always go with Scully ahead of Oso - ref should have seen it. No "slope" excuses that kind of incompetence.

I actually feel sorry for Bohs over those two "goals" in Bray and Dalymount. And it just helps to reinforce people's view that the league is a joke.

I dont by that for a second the ref was only 18 yards max away
    it doesnt slope that much.
Plus it was two yards at least out. Not on or near the line

this slope is very deceptive - and *could* have tricked the refs assistant - who made the call and alerted the ref according to all accounts

im not excusing these idiots for one second but its the only plausible explanation

A more believable explanation is that they are just incompetent
And mars being in line with venus had nothing to do with it
