I think the top 2 teams in each division have home advantage in the next round so therefore its a seeded draw. First and seconds verses thirds and forths.
The lads won yesterday evening with a convincing win over there local rivals Salthill Devon with a scoreline of 3-0 (scorers yet unknown). This leaves the table looking like this:

United's Under21's beat Limerick by 4 goals to 2. was talking to one of the players and he says they should of won by more but the pitch was brutal.
would be nice if they got Devon in the next round

While id agree that Galway were the better team as they adapted to the ****e condition of the pitch better (ie lob all your defenders at the end of the slope and put ur lighter players at the top of the hill) The pitch was nothing short of a joke. Its all very fine for clubs to do link ups with Junior clubs to avial of their facilities but the facility which was given to Galway today was like going back to the Bord Gais days of Irish football. The rule book regarding the under 21 thing really needs to be sorted though. Our main striker today was not allowed play as he has now played 12 senior games this season, yet most of those have been the last 2/3 mins of games. But rule one should be that the games should be called off if the pitch is unsuitable or just shockingly ****!
But well done galway and best of luck in the next round
Agree with the comments about the pitch. Even the goals were a disaster leaning forward from young fellas swinging off them. However we had a number of players out due to the games rule too. Gael who was the player that got booked in the last 2or3 mins. He fouled or should I say assaulted Iarlaith Davoran. He could have caused serious injury to the youngster from Athlone.

that pitch in mervue is always that bad though, its a terrible pitch and i used to hate plaing on it even at Under 14 level so i dunno how they managed to put an Eircom League Under 21 last 16 game there
Homer: I'm gonna make sure these deliveries are made on time.
Bart: Let me come with you
Homer: Dont you have school!
Bart: Dont you have work!
Homer: Ah Touche!
heard the next round is to played this weekend, this true? why is it that their not playing in terryland?
Salthill/Knocknacarra Gaa Official Website- http://www.salthillknocknacarragaa.ie/
because galway united only have terryland for their first team there wer two games played in terryland last sunday galway league u12 and u15 played mayo which galway won 3-0 and 7-1 next weekend the first team play on sat. so a second game on sunday would not be allowed after a game on sat night the ground would have to be cleaned and prepared again
ok fair point, but there has to be a petter place to play a under-21 el match then mervue, sure millars lane is better than that
