Sent off today in Spartak's game away from home. (According to Betfair anyways)
Criminal challenge, he deserves a ten match ban for that tackle from behind. No attempt to play the ball. We all know tackling isn't exactly his strong suit but man that was just terrible. No wonder the other team wanted to fight him. Very immature stuff from McGeady.
10 Match ban?
Give over will ya ya bleedin oul-wan
Silly tackle. Straight red. End of story
Folding my way into the big money!!!
Looks like he's about to cry when walking off. Might be good for him in a weird way, from all the history of McGeady, when the press start talking him up his form dips. Least this way he needs to impress again when he comes back.
That nr4 certainly rose up to his feet immediately, to get back at whoever tackled him.
Makes a nonsense of those gobs who roll around in agony.
I didn't know Aiden could get his blood up and bite so hard. I'm proud of him
Is this a serious post? 10 match ban? Paulo Di Canio got an 11 match ban for pushing over Paul Alcock. Eric Cantona was banned for 16 games effectively when he kung-fu kicked a fan. Is a simple mistimed tackle from behind, which isn't even the worst challenge I've seen this weekend, in the same league as those incidents?
I'm as serious as a heart attack.
What kind of a ban will he actually get?
And is this really his last league game til August?

Surely an ideal opportunity for a Prem team to take a punt.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Don't know if a Premiership team will take him on but he'd definitely be welcome back at Celtic or maybe in the Championship. Did he know this was going to happen when he signed in Spartak Moscow? Seems very strange, especially considering that he was already off from May until September already. He could play from the first of January until the end of the English/Spanish/Italian/Scottish domestic season if I'm not wrong.
Judging from that clip his tackling looks to be almost as bad as his crossing.
McGeady's red has elevated him even higher in the local fans eyes. They love his energy and attitude and some of his play has been sparkling and cutting. He was named as one of the "Autumn stars" and he will be the main man for the club next year if, as everyone expects, Welliton goes.
seems the tackle wasn't unprovoked

Moments after being taken out (not for the first time yesterday, NMTB should add) a frustrated Aiden McGeady got to his feet and did a number on Marcin Kowalczyk in the Moscow derby.
He joined Adrian Ropotan for an early bath (not together, you’d imagine) after he had scythed down the Irishman in equally cynical fashion just 10 minutes earlier.
Occasionally the bitten has to bite back.
As Aiden gets older he will learn that it is better to create or score a winning goal that to fall to their level.
