McGeady to Sunderland this Summer?

No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
Hopefully just another made up rumour. The site says he plays for CSKA and their source is the People so probably it's not true.
I doubt he'd be willing to make the step down to the Championship.
edit: this is basically just saying Sunderland and Wigan were after him in the winter, therefore they will be again in the summer. Journalists are so crap.

Scored the first and assisted the second as Spartak went 2 up on Leaders CSKA. They drew 2-2

Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
He also assisted the assist for his goal.
And I guess we can rule out McGeady-to-Sunderland. And if the table stays the sames then McGeady-to-Wigan is a gonner too. I'm not quite sure who will take a punt on McGeady in the Premier League now. I'd really like to see McGeady pit himself in the Premier League. At the time, I found the argument in favour of McGeady establishing in Russia to be quite hollow, much because the Russian league appears hollow.
Why is McGeady to Sunderland out? Is he a committed anti-fascist? I think McG might have looked at his options in England a few months back and decided it wasn't worth it. He'd have more opportunities in a mainland European league but the money not be so great.
The O'Neill link is gone so the likehilood has dwindled and so will newspaper stories being my point. Sunderland's board and maybe Di Canio could harbour interest. That could have happened but he may have also decided the offer from Wigan wasn't worth it, from a financial and relegation-battle perspective.
It's hardly like he went to some no mark club like FC Rostov or Kuban Krasnodar, he went to a team that had a realistic chance of the Russian title, and a team is one of the big teams in Russia. If he had joined (or does join) Wigan or Slumberland he wouldnt have got the Champions League experience he had in the last few years.
And he would have played six times against Champions League opposition in the Champions League had he been fit. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd say playing in the Champions League is more like "Champions League experience" than playing a league game for Wigan at Stamford Bridge.
I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. I get the whole "experience" thing when you're talking about playing home or away against Barcelona, but Spartak Moscow were drawn against Celtic and Benfica. I don't know much about Benfica but I can say with confidence that an away trip to Wigan is almost certainly more of a challenge than an away trip to Celtic, and Wigan are one of the three or four poorest teams in the Premiership.
Yes, I'm sure Barcelona would have been beaten even more comprehensively at the DW than they were at Celtic Park. And Benfica are on the verge of the Europa League final. But, yeah, they're rubbish compared to the mighty Wigan Athletic who, as we have already agreed, would trounce Barcelona.
Wow man. No need to get upset with me, friendly people can have differences of opinion. I just think that playing in Russia isn't as much of a challenge as playing in England, and I say that having watched lots of English football and next to no Russian football, so take my opinion for what it is worth.
I actually think that McGeady is ideally suited as a central attacking footballer for a team in Spain, where he'll get the room to be creative without getting chopped down every five seconds like he would in England. I don't think that he's a natural winger, I've always thought that his best work comes when he attacks the centre halves through the middle with the wind at his back and the ball at his feet.
He's not getting upset with you. He just showed that your post was rubbish.
Saying that a trip to Wigan on a Saturday afternoon would be more of a challenge than a tense Champions League tie in Parkhead on a Wednesday night.......??? I'd class that as a rubbish post
I really can't see Wigan beating Barcelona....ever
Folding my way into the big money!!!
I'm not upset! I was just pointing out how ridiculous your logic is.
McGeady possibly would benefit from moving into the centre but I think he's obviously a natural wide man. I'd love to see him play at a German or Spanish side alongside better strikers so he can better use his technical ability and close control.
Was talking to a German mate who is a big Hamburg fan and he said that he heard that Hamburg were linked with him a few weeks ago on one of their fans forums. I'd love an Irish player in the Bundesliga!!
Seamies German cousin.
